I took my 16 year old daughter to this hoping for her to develop new skills, greater confidence, and reduced anxiety. She succeeded with all three. She has completed regular Driver's Ed but I have not taken her for her license yet as she seems to lack confidence and sometimes freezes up momentarily when challenged. Stevens School instructors are really great, they give the students lots of attention, even extra when needed to get them comfortable with each drill. There is a lot of information and new experiences covered in the 3.5 - 4 hour class. The staff is passionate about their mission, which is, frankly, to help stop teen drivers from killing themselves in accidents at an alarming rate. Judging by the large attendance I would say parents understand the need for advanced driver's ed training, and really, this school should be mandatory for new drivers. If I have one critique it would be that this school is woefully underfunded and could really benefit from some corporate sponsors to provide new cars and a more contemporary classroom experience. At $300 it is a bargain. Read Less

I sincerely wish I could rate my review five stars. Anyone taking the course will benefit. It will significantly improve and prepare you should evasive driving be required. I would especially recommend new drivers take this course, as a parent we can't ignore the statistics with new driver accidents. The course is comprehensive, including classroom instruction. Unfortunately here is where the instructor deviated from driver training to political opinions. I'm not going to take a stand on the subject matter, only the inappropriate use of training time to interject a personal agenda. This was unnecessary in my opinion. Instruction, and statistics can be presented to the students of dangers involving the usage of phones while driving without implying that the business supplying the phone had a reckless disregard for life and ulterior motives. I hope his students are old enough by now to think for themselves.Read Less
