They are all professional in this field, they have all driven a truck between 10 - 50 years. They have real life experience on what they are teaching you. Ms. Jeanette is an amazing women, her doors are always open, she has a welcoming attitude and she has teaching soul. You can only fail by YOUR choices, not by their teaching. Mark is the yard instructor, he has the most patience to teach students. Mike and Will are great at given you advise LISTEN TO THEM, they drove for year's. Stay away from Steve, he has girl Scott cookies and they are addicting 😁, Steve is calm, cool and collect, ask him anything. Ms.Kat best class teacher. GREAT SCHOOL! Super friendly, and helpful staff of instructors. From the very start Rob helps you get ready for the permit by actually taking you outside to put your hands( even though he hates the cold) on a truck as well as tell you stories from the road. Then its outside to Anthony, George, and Dave to do maneuvers. You will not ever see any of them sitting down. They all run around the yard helping every student. After you master maneuvers its off to Earl to learn the road and shifting. Although you will know Earl's life story by the graduation you will also be fully confident in passing your CDL road test. Beverly, Ally, and Jeanette do everything in their power to get you in and out of school without pushing. They want to make sure you are ready before putting you behind the wheel. I messed up on my test the first time and they seemed just as upset as I was but were sure to keep my spirits and confidence up. All in all it was a difficult but rewarding. The biggest challenge was staying motivated to come in everyday rain or shine to get the truck time needed. Anyone on here complaining about truck time didn't show up enough or stay long enough. All about the money! If you are experienced and just need a refresher and a road test, they have no time for you. They don't want to waste their time if it doesn't financially benefit them. Funny thing is, no money was ever discussed. My request was shut down before we ever discussed what I would pay for a 1 hour road test. Ended up at another school who was happy to help. Paid 500 for 1 hour practice to become accustomed to their truck and 1 hour at DMV on test day. I am now back on the road. Thanks for nothing Smith and Solomon. Guess that was my welcome after 28 years experience throughout Europe, Canada, and the US on both British CDL and Canadian CDL. I now have my US CDL and will discouraged anyone from wasting their money on Smith and Solomon. They don't care about you, just how much money can they make. Stay clear! Read Less

Been here now for 1 month, I've had my permit for the last 2 weekends, that's 16 hours. I've had a total of 6 times in the seat of a truck to learn manuevers. Very unorganized, 1 yard teacher, 2 yard trucks and 1 is for the more advanced students who are farther along. So you have 1 yard truck for around 6 or 7 students sometimes up to 10. At this rate it could take a year to get my CDL. You don't get near a truck on saturday until almost lunch time. It's aggravating! Read Less
