My Mother who is nearing her 90s recently lost her driving license when she was stopped by a cop for a very minor traffic violation. The cops are very eager to remove senior citizens from the road and as thus, put her in a position where she had to retake her driving exam --- both written and road. This was not an easy process for a woman of that age. Imagine having to relearn all the things you had to learn when you were a teenager just starting out. I decided to have a professional driving school get her through her road test. A quick Google search led me to Eatontown Driving School. I communicated with its owner, Youssef, via email and texting. He was very responsive to all my inquiries and was able to schedule road instruction for my Mom on the day of her driving exam. Youseff picked her up at her home. He took her out for instructional practice runs particularly emphasizing parallel parking which was something she was having difficulty doing. He then spent two hours with her at Eatontown Motor Vehicles. This included the road test AND waiting with her while she went inside to get her driving license (which had originally been revoked). When my Mother came home overjoyed with relief that she had passed the test, she began to tell me how patient and helpful Youseff had been through the entire process. She really praised Eatontown Driving School. The cost we paid for the entire morning was not only reasonable, but well worth it. There are many choices out there as to whom you can trust to take good care of you. I would highly recommend you choose Eatontown Driving School above all the rest. In my opinion, it was money decently spent. I'm comfortable with driving, however I feel as if I know none of the technicalities of driving. I had Roland and personally I believe he is a horrible teacher. His side remarks and jabs were not appreciated. He expected me to be an expert at driving when I have never drove in my life. He was more critical than constructive with his comments. He rushed learning K turns, parallel parking, and hand over hand steering. He annoyed me very much. My mom would be a better instructor; I wish I had Yousef instead of him. Overall, I had a good experience despite my obvious distate of my instructor. If it's possible do not have Roland as an instructor. Read Less

I've called them at 2 different times wanting to schedule lessons and wanting them to take me to my test in eatontown. They told me that they would send a confirmation text to my phone and never did the first time. I called them back a few weeks later and asked them to schedule AGAIN and told them that I never received a confirmation text the last time. I finally received one and they said they would send another text a week before my test to confirm, never received that either. They seem very unprofessional and it's like they don't like their jobs. The Asian guy sucks. He's nasty and will talk to you like you're a piece of garbage. Will make fun of your driving even when you're doing everything right. Also the heavier guy just stands outside smoking cigarettes right before he gets in your car and makes your car smell. This place is disgusting. Read Less

This is hard to even give one star. Too bad I have to give a star to write the review. This driver made me hate driving and scarred me for life. He screamed the entire time and was on his phone the entire time. He gave no help and just scared me the whole time. I told him before I even stepped in the car I was scared and he brought me right onto the highway and he was horrible. This guy should be fired and should not be an instructor if he's not going to pay any attention to who he is "teaching" high do not recommend this guy SUCKS. Read Less

This guy was terrible. Literally told me he had to take me home and he couldn't drive with me. Talked on his phone the whole time while taking me on route 35 and then asked me why I was so nervous! Don't take me on the busiest road and talk on your phone the whole time and honestly I don't care how bad someone is at driving, you don't tell them that you can't do it and you're taking them home. Youssef is a very experienced and responsible instructor. I had 6-hour behind the wheel lessons with him and his instructions were very effective and right to the point. Before my test, Youssef took me to go through the whole testing procedures which are exactly the same as in the test. So I know what to expect and what to avoid. I took my test in Eatontown and passed on the first try all because of Eatontown Driving School (Youseff). He is patient, articulate and an expert.  If you want to pass I suggest you choose Eatontown Driving School. Read Less
