I had my first driving lesson with this school today and my instructor was Ricardo. For the entire time the instructor was visibly frustrated, rude and intimidating. For instance, I missed first stop sign in the first 10 mins of my practice and his words when I apologized were "You cannot say sorry when you're dead next time". Some other instances: "are you awake?", "people learn to take turns during first lesson", "your country has left lane driving, not ours", "oh my god", "you're in the driving seat, it's not my job to tell you where to stop", "what do you think you're doing?", "you will kill someone". He became normal towards the end of the lesson when we switched seats, but I had already lost all my confidence by then. For context I have no driving experience barring couple hours of lessons I took in my home country. I understand the impatience if someone is making repeated mistakes after certain lessons but being so intimidating in the first lesson itself was so disappointing. Mind you, these guys charge $150 cancellation fee. They're expensive than the nearby driving schools like North Ave Driving school by at least $10 per hour if you do the math. The only reason I joined them was because the other driving schools were fully booked. If you hate your job, please don't do it and ruin someone else's day. Update: I spoke to the manager. He was polite enough to understand the case and only charged me $50 cancellation fee + $90 for the first lesson instead of the $150 cancellation. Only because of him, increasing 1 star! Read Less

I initially had a great experience with this driving school. My friend and I both took lessons here, and the instructor was helpful. Although I unfortunately failed my road test due to a minor mistake, I was later contacted by the school and offered another lesson and road test package at a significantly discounted price. When they called, I asked if I could confirm after 2 to 3 days, and they said that was fine. A few days later, I called back but no one answered. I tried again the following day, and when someone picked up, I specifically confirmed the discounted price multiple times. I was told they were aware of the offer and would call me back to finalize everything. Unfortunately, no one ever called. After waiting another 2 to 3 days, I called again and had to explain the entire situation from the beginning. The employee I spoke with was dismissive and rude. She eventually quoted me a price that was actually higher than what I had paid for my original lesson and test package. When I explained that this completely contradicted the offer I had been given over the phone, she simply replied, “I’m sorry, but that’s the price.” The biggest issue wasn’t even the price itself. It was the poor communication, the repeated assurances that someone would call me back, and the amount of time I wasted trying to follow up on an offer that apparently was never going to be honored. Blanca has helped me learn so much! She gives you tips and tricks to ace the drivers test! With her help I was able to remain calm and relaxed throughout the test. I wouldn’t have been able to pass the drivers test without her help and guidance! She’s a very fun and friendly instructor!
