Then Nick's classroom training very professional and easy to listen and catch what you need to move on to the next question. Then Don Yard instructor, get ready to be impressed by his easy to learn instructions that will stick with you forever. Now I give you Don the manual, automatic watch your trailer instructor. It was a great experience to take their educational program. With their professional help, in a week I was able to pass the test for the commercial learners permit. GOT MY CDL, AND THEY GOT A JOB RIGHT AWAY! This school was great for me. I went to their open house, they gave me a tour of the school, and offered me different payment plan options which is great! There yard is the best yard compared to any other school around. I signed up and they taught me how to drive a Class A both automatic and stick shift. These people are amazing! Mr. Blue is great and very accommodating when it comes scheduling. Mr. Hill is a fantastic driving instructor and helps you feel at ease and confident. Especially if you're taking your road test. He gives you very practical advice about how to pass the road test. I recently graduated with my Cdl A from S&S Linden, NJ. My English was not perfect but found that the bilingual instructors; Ruben & Freddy where such an amazing help. Thanks to all the help from the instructors I was able to pass my road test. I'm grateful to Josie and all the staff in the office for being so courteous and kind to me at all times. They deal with all types of people and personalities and their attitudes never wavered. This is an excellent school, I cannot complain. I can say nothing but the best in my experience at this school. They have a very high failure rate in NJ. Their success rate comes from the students they send out to Pennsylvania. The students who go to PA have a better advantage, because the course they are invited to practice on is the same course they test on. If you fail, you come back every 3 days and you start from where you left off. If you fail at a NJ location you have to wait 2 long weeks and you have to start from the very beginning (3 part test). Students have been at the Linden location for as long as 3 months to 15 months, and the school just continues to take their money with no problem. Their trucks are horrible, extremely old, and break down. If you get to go on the truck at 8 am you might not get back on a truck until 2:30 pm. There are lines as long as 20-30 students and they restrict you from trying other maneuvers, even if there are less people on another line. This school is a nightmare. The few people who do pass in NJ actually go to other driving schools to get hourly tutoring. So when they pass, S&S swears it’s solely because of them, but it’s not. The instructors are impatient. They yell at the students who never drove stick before. They are even worse on the people that speak little English. They are degrading in their approach and the manager there hates pertinent feedback or constructive criticism. He yells at the students during meetings for bringing up issues and concerns. The students in the yard are basically teaching each other. The instructors in the yard don't teach you. They just tell you to turn left, turn right the entire time you're there. The pro & cons are simple: they are cons. Again, people are paying other schools hourly rates as high as $75 -$110 per hour because of they aren’t learning from the deadbeat instructors. . They all regret signing a contract with S&S. Furthermore, the trucks they send to the road tests frequently break down and they have to send the students home. Read Less
