Well less than five stars and not even four stars reviews make sense now. Scheduled lessons for my teenager. They are so unprofessional. Nothing to confirm the appointment. No reminder or email. Then the driver arrives today to get my child with a terrible attitude. My daughter had to look for her permit. I found it but she was so intimidated by the driver that she decided to come back home. I don’t recommend them at all! Learn to be more courteous and patient!

I contacted Echelon for my daughter’s behind the wheel program. They cover multiple counties and they were able to provide service in Atlantic County. My daughter‘s instructor, Scott H was communicative, prompt and patient. My daughter completed her training in 2 3hr sessions, with two weeks off in between. After finishing her last lesson, she felt much more confident, experienced driving in a variety of situations, such as neighborhoods, County roads, and highways like the Garden State Parkway. Scott provided me areas where she needs a little more practice than others, and she identified the same area as herself. Before going out driving, Scott came to the house, collected all of the necessary identification, the $10 for the permit at MVC, and went to MVC and handled all of that himself. When she came home from this last lesson, her appointment to have her official drivers test for her 17th birthday, is already made. Highly recommend contacting Echelon if you are in the Atlantic County area, the price is commensurate with local schools, and they were able to provide service substantially sooner.

My family's experience with this school was pretty bad. With my three 16-year-olds, the (different) instructors always cut the lessons short, so we only got at best 4.5-5 hours out of 6 paid. When we were getting ready for our trip to Europe, my husband took manual shift lessons with the school. Upon renting a car in Europe, it became clear that the only thing the instructor cared about was the car not being abused by a novice manual shift driver, so he didn't teach my husband pretty much anything. For example, they only drove where there wasn't any need to stop or change gears, which are essential skills for manual shift driving, and my husband didn't have a chance to practice them.

I called the office to setup another appointment no return call.

I really enjoyed learning how to drive I had Mr.Gorge he helped me relax when I was taking the driving lessons he made it a good experience that I called back for him to take me back out for my road test I practiced for a hour then I drive to the testing area & I passed!!!!! Thank you again Mr.Gorge for all of your help/tips!!!!

My son did his 6 hour training in 12/2015. Imagine my surprise when I find out months later that his instructor NEVER took him to have his permit validated. I called the school and they assured me...
My son did his 6 hour training in 12/2015. Imagine my surprise when I find out months later that his instructor NEVER took him to have his permit validated. I called the school and they assured me that they would take care of the problem and that his permit could be validated with the date he completed his 6 hours. That was not the case. We had to do the work that we paid them to AND found out it is illegal to backdate his permit. He now has to wait well after his birthday to get his license. We've left several messages for the owner Charles Snyder to return our phone calls which he has yet to do. The office manager just says, "I can only give him the message. I can't make him call you." So, only the owner of the company can rectify this situation but he ignores the valid complaint of a paying customer.

I was quite concerned after reading the reviews posted here. i asked around and confirmed that this driving school and all were relatively the same; you also have to understand and appreciate the person who is doing this job. My daughter was taught by a driver named Joan and i have to say she was great. Polite, timely, called when an issue and had to cancel, treated my daughter with patience and was complimentary(even though I don't know if deserved). Everyone i spoke to who had her has commented the same. Is the place a little gruff?? Possibly, but no more then how a good experienced waitress might treat you at a diner! Might someone smoke who does this job, possibly but that is not a crime and your kid will be okay next to someone who smoked a cigaret and did their job honestly & politely knowing they were't making the greatest amount of money.

I had my daughter use them and she was not happy with the school. They came in an old beat up Dodge Neon and the instructor talked about trains and video games the entire time not really explaining how to drive. The worst was when it came for her scheduled drivers test they were suppose to be there at 10am and never showed. Turned out they had to cancel but never called. We had to reschedule the test a week later. Terrible driving school and would never recommend.

My family's experience with this school was pretty bad. With my three 16-year-olds, the (different) instructors always cut the lessons short, so we only got at best 4.5-5 hours out of 6 paid. When we were getting ready for our trip to Europe, my husband took manual shift lessons with the school. I was quite concerned after reading the reviews posted here. i asked around and confirmed that this driving school and all were relatively the same; you also have to understand and appreciate the person who is doing this job. My daughter was taught by a driver named Joan and i have to say she was great.
