I intend on filing a complaint with the BBB against JayJay Driving School due to unethical and coercive business practices by Ester, who I now firmly believe is a con artist.
Earlier today, I went to their office to retrieve my 5-hour course completion certificate, which was issued by Revolution Driving School. However, Ester outright refused to give it to me.
I initially purchased a package of 10 or 11 driving lessons. I have not attended my last three scheduled lessons, and I informed Ester that I no longer wished to continue with JayJay Driving School as I had found another driving school in Manhattan. At this point, she demanded that I pay a cancellation fee for each missed lesson and further claimed that, since I did not complete the full package, the price per lesson would be recalculated at a higher rate. Because of this, she insisted that I pay an additional $7 before she would release my 5-hour course certificate--a document that rightfully belongs to me.
During this exchange, Ester asked to see my learner's permit, and once in her possession, she refused to return it despite my repeated demands. I had to scream at her multiple times before she finally relented and gave it back. However, she is still unlawfully withholding my 5-hour course certificate.
To further escalate the situation, Ester later approached my mother and deceitfully claimed that I now only needed to pay $75 in cancellation fees--a completely different amount than what she originally demanded. This bait-and-switch behavior is another example of her fraudulent business tactics.
Adding to the harassment, while I was in the office, a Hispanic male physically blocked the door, preventing me from leaving. Their tactics are nothing short of intimidation and extortion.
I strongly warn anyone considering this driving school to stay away. Their entire operation is riddled with scam tactics, coercion, and outright theft. This was a disgusting experience, and I will be pursuing further action to ensure that this business is held accountable.

As soon as you walk in to schedule lessons, Esther was beyond amazing. She made sure everything was prepared. Took 10 lessons and I enjoyed each and every one of them. My Driving Instructor Edwin is the best! He explained everything so well that you will feel so comfortable with him. He has lots of patience overall best of the best!! I learned a lot from him which resulted in me passing my driver’s test just in one try! I Highly recommend this driving school to everyone, their service is beyond great. I will definitely will be sending friends to take their driving classes here.

Took 10 lessons. I enjoyed each and every one of them. My driving instructor Cesar was smart, funny and a good mentor. I don't understand the negative comments about the receptionist. She's really nice. Moving forward I recommend this driving school to every single person that lives close by.

I had a positive experience with JayJay Driving School and my instructor Leo. I booked the 15 class package with road test and the school/receptionist was very accommodating with my requests to do many classes per week and occasionally to do back to back lessons. In the end, I passed my road test first time and I feel confident as a driver - I can't ask for any more. Thanks!

This was my first time taking driving lessons and a road test... these guys made me feel so comfortable. For a first timer they were really helpful, answered all my questions and made my learning experience easy and comfortable. I went with one of their packages that included the 5 hour, 5 lessons and the road test with the car included. Before the test I picked up two more lessons, one that was two weeks before and the other the day before the test. I passed on my first time around!!!! I’m so excited, I can’t thank you guys enough !

The driving instructor Mr Leo is awesome and always remain calm. Make sure that you take his advice in advance before you fail the test because he knows best for his students. I enjoyed practicing eventhou I already been driving for years with only a permit and I would recommend you to attend his school for good service. I passed my test and it feels great to be a licence driver!

Very Good Driving School for a reasonable price, they will work with your schedule. I got the 10 lesson package and passed on my first try, very pleased with my results. I would recommend this place to anyone that lives in the area by far. The instructor is Bilingual and very Respectful , takes his job seriously, very professional.

I LOVE THIS SCHOOL!!! They were very reasonable in price and worked with me when I had to pay for my extra lessons! The staff was very friendly and answered all my questions, more than once when I didn't understand. The instructor was very nice and had soooo much patience with me as it was my first time ever driving. On my first lesson we both agreed my turns were horrible, but he worked with me and showed me little tricks and tips to improve them. I would recommend them to any one learning to drive for the first time or brushing up on driving. My little brother will be going here to get his next. Thank you so much ..... oh yea by the way, I passed my road test on my first try! :)

My experience with Jay Jay School at the beginning was pleasant but was turned off when I got a phone call for payment while expressing I was 7 1/2 month pregnant and was not feeling well and was still ask to come back and pay unreal and unsympathetic. I even offered to give my credit info over the phone . I have paid on time without them asking. One thing that is displeasing is that I had to cancel a class because I was not feeling well and expressed it was false contraction and they ask for their cxl fee with the quickness, unreal I am a manager at my job and when a client cxl due to an emergency or illness we waive it. Don't recommend if your pregant. Must say that the instructor is great.

I intend on filing a complaint with the BBB against JayJay Driving School due to unethical and coercive business practices by Ester, who I now firmly believe is a con artist.
Earlier today, I went to their office to retrieve my 5-hour course completion certificate, which was issued by Revolution Driving School. However, Ester outright refused to give it to me.
I initially purchased a package of 10 or 11 driving lessons. My Driving Instructor Edwin is the best! He explained everything so well that you will feel so comfortable with him. He has lots of patience overall best of the best!! This was my first time taking driving lessons and a road test... these guys made me feel so comfortable. For a first timer they were really helpful, answered all my questions and made my learning experience easy and comfortable. I went with one of their packages that included the 5 hour, 5 lessons and the road test with the car included. Thanks to JayJay Driving School and the help of the instructor I passed my road test on the very first try and I am now licensed to drive in NY State Overall I am glad I made the choice to go to this place. The instructor was so patient, friendly and courteous. He taught me everything I need know to pass. I have nothing bad to say about him. The receptionist was cool too.

The driving school is great and the teacher is good he tell you if you ready or need more classes I am witness to that first time test and I passed.

I used Jay Jay for my 5 hour course. I had to go to another location on Broadway for the class. The instructor was good. Very comical and informative. I had a great experience. Would definitely recomm...

I recently got my drivers license through Jay Jay Driving School and I would definitedly reccommend it! I thought I knew how to drive, but I actually learned techniques that I wasn't aware of. I don't think I would have passed if I didn't take any lessons with Jay Jay. Great school!
