I called March 2 to set an appointment on March 4 to take a driving defense five hour course , The man I spoke to his name was Joseph . I get there today I go through a course and then I was handed a pre-licensing certificate. I had already just received one. I asked him what happened to the drivers defense course. He said I’m sorry you got this mixed up. I said you are a liar and give me my money back. He did not. I left. God will give it back to me but don’t trust this place I was just robbed not less than six hours ago !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HORRIBLE!!! SCAMMED ME!!! Do not use baileys auto school. The instructors are incompetant, not punctual, and even scammed me. I paid for 10 lessons and he only gave me 9 and lied that we did all 10. For english speakers it will be hard to understand the thick spanish accents of the instructors. They did not teach for the road test. Did not go over the specifics of what road test instructors are looking for. Instead they spend hours wasting time on worthless ridiculously irrelevant rules of driving which is why i failed my test. DON'T NOT USE THIS DRIVING SCHOOL! They only have one driving instructor Jose and he does a horrible job in teaching people how to drive.  He is mean, arrogant and uncompromising.   He has taken over $800 and has no intentions of keeping his commitments...currently reporting him to the Better Business Bureau. Took the 5 hour pre-driving class here (required in NY before taking the road test). Our instructor insisted if we cooperated we'd be able to leave early. It took us five and a half hours. He wasted most of that time going around the room asking everyone's answers to stupid questions, for which he would only accept his own very particular answers. My favorites include: Why do you think they say you should leave this distance between cars? Because they are smart people and that is the number they say. How does the anti-lock brakes work? Sensors. and of course the very rhetorical, [After spending an hour pointing out that you are definitely going to die if you even think about being in a car as a driver or a passenger.] Why do you want to drive the car? I joined Yelp a few weeks ago for the sole reason of writing this review.  Initially there was no negative review for this auto school and I was really irked that they are raking in business without a single honest review about their sleazy practice.I also got Daisy as my driving instructor and she was consistently late, dishonest and worst of all, preoccupied with her own crap.  She was using all of the lessons as "practice lessons" and not once, did she teach me how to properly drive.  She would blabber on her cell phone in Spanish, arrange her schedules, and chat about how great Fairway is.  Her idea of teaching me how to drive was by having me go to different towns and directing me here and there.  She never explained anything, no hand over hand technique, how to adjust mirrors, how to look back, park, yeah, basically all of the necessary methods for any new driver.In fact, she made me feel like some lost cause and kept pushing me to pay for more lessons since it was "clear that the DMV requires more than 17 hours on road".  She was always an hour LATE to pick me up at my house and had me to drive miles out to some town out of nowhere just to pick up her next student.  Afterwards, it would another 45 minutes for that student to drive me back to my house.  All in all, a total waste of 3 hours of my day waiting on her.  She has no regard for anyone's time and when I told her that she needed to get to my house on time, she got pissed off and would say nothing in the car for the entire lesson.  I obviously developed a ton of incorrect driving habits all thanks to her.Unfortunately, she will continue scamming people since she caters to the non-English speaking Hispanic population who believes that this is the way driving lessons are conducted.  They probably have to pay over 40 lessons and they don't come cheap in Long Island.  Daisy was frequently trying to sell me "discounted' packages after a few lessons because it "was limited time only".  Because she did a wonderful job of screwing up my demanding schedule, I had to abandon the lessons in the end.  If I scheduled 3 lessons in a week, a minimum of 6.5 hours would be wasted on waiting around doing nothing. No. Just... No. I started off with Deysi, and let me say she could use a few defensive driving courses herself. She always had someone in the car with her, always on her cell phone, always showed up late, even no called no showed. Cut my lessons short because a friends kid decided THAT moment that he also wanted a lesson that day. Then to make matters worse she had the habit of grabbing the wheel and turning it after I told her I was not clear to merge/turn. She almost made me turn into an SUV. She made me more nervous than I was when I started out. Mr. Joseph was a better instructor. I have no qualms with him personally. However cancelling the 5 hour class repeatedly for over a month, means overall, I will never recommend this school. Especially when they don't inform you ahead of time that the class is cancelled.
