My experience at Victor’s CDL exceeded my expectations. Victor and the entire crew, from the office staff to the instructors, were extremely knowledgeable and incredibly committed to helping me pass my CDL “B class” road test. Prior to my first class, I had very rarely driven a standard vehicle and I’ve never driven anything larger than a passenger van. I definitely had some nerves built up but those nerves were short-lived as Robert, one of the instructors, taught me seemlessly and calmed me down. After my first few classes and some additional studying from the CDL handbook I mastered my pretrip inspection and felt like I was driving a 6 speed B class truck for years. Needless to say, I passed my road test/inspection on the first try. Every employee I met was professional and committed to my success. They even kept me in the loop seemlessly when some of my classes had to be rescheduled due to inclement weather. I would highly recommend victors driving school. The instructors are great and really want you to pass. They find your strengths and weaknesses and focus on what you really need help with. Thanks to this I was able to pass my road test with the new dmv regulations on my first try. For the price you get more lessons than other companies I've looked at and the more personal experience I believe is worth it. Especially if you are local I wouldn't recommend going any place else. I signed up for 5 bus classes plus the road test. First two classes were with Edgar third was with Tim and last two with Victor. Each one has his own style of teaching. Edgar gave me everything I needed to run the inconsiderate streets of NY. Tim fine tuned my inspections. Victor tried his best to fine tune my overly aggressive driving. Needless to say after 5 professional lesions and two spins in a friends bus I passed the test with zero deductions. Let me start by saying that the instructors are amazing, they really do a great a job. Unfortunately though my personal experience with Victor was unsatisfying to say the least. When you come out of pocket to invest in your future for a service such as this one, you should expect a great experience. I thoroughly regret giving my money to Victor after multiple instances of blatant ignorance and discrimination. My personal opinion is; if your of latin descent, by all means attend this school, Victor will ensure you get preference over other students and create a more favorable advantage to ensure your success. Thanks to his knowledgeable and attentive staff I was able to overcome these disadvantages, but it still makes me sick that I actually had to pay a company that was morally corrupt from the core of the operation.
