If I could give 2 negative stars I would, My experience with Steve was extremely ridiculous and I’m blown away by half of the reviews I’ve read about this place,
Day 1:
He rescheduled last minute for 3:45 saying he was caught up with a road test, showed up late anyway, then rescheduled for the next day, When we actually drove the next day, it was alright, but he already had me super stressing out the whole time.
Day 2:
We had a lesson on Friday during school, so I stayed home so I’d be able to go because I have no other way of transportation from school and back besides the bus. The lesson was supposed to be at 12:30 but he texted at 12:17 saying he couldn’t make it and needed to reschedule, he postponed it an entire week so I missed a whole entire school day for nothing. The next Friday he arrived at 3:10 when the appointment was scheduled for 3:00 and every time he was late he didn’t even text me to let me know, the car smelled strongly of cannabis the whole time. Every turn I made a I heard paper bag crinkling around under his seat, and everytime it did the smell got stronger. I can’t prove he wasn’t sober but the signs lead me to believe he wasn’t
During the lesson he was either constantly yelling at me or constantly telling me I was doing good There was no normal feedback just yelling. When I got home I was left anxious and confused wondering what the heck just happened not knowing if I did good or not.
Day 3:
We had an appointment on Saturday but I rescheduled for Sunday 11:30. He texts me at 11:43 simply just saying good morning it takes him 7 minutes to respond to what I said back, when he finally showed up and I got in the car he just seemed to have his panties in a bunch the second I got in, and it turns out I was right. He yelled at me for every little thing I did wrong every thing he said contradicted itself. He yanked the steering wheel out of my hands multiple times, once simply because I was just about to miss a turn, I could’ve taken the next one
He accused me of “acting like I know more than him,” when I denied it he yelled at me more cut me off mid sentence and insisted that I was, he told me “you arent going to get your license driving like this" and that I was goin to get us killed . By the end I was holding back tears, and an anxiety attack, by the time I got home and got into my house I was in tears hyperventilating.
Day 4 (Road Test):
He was late again (9:46 for a 9:30 appointment) and guess what? He yelled at me the whole way there too. As soon as we parked at the testing site, when we got there he gave me some bs pep talk, which meant absolutely nothing to me at that point. The road test took probably only five minutes, and I passed.
Overall:
Steve was consistently late, mean, and unstable. He yelled at me constantly 24/7, he always made belittling comments, grabbed the wheel constantly even tho we weren’t in any danger, and made me feel scared and dumb. He also canceled more than once after taking my grandmas money. The ONLY actually good part of this school that I enjoyed was the 5 hour online course taught by Rich, Rich was kind, Rich was respectful he took his time answering peoples questions and gave them genuinely helpful answers We need more Riches in the world and way less Steves.
do NOT go here DO NOT send your kids here. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Steve is a genuine bully and shouldn’t be left around children unsupervised. Read Less
