Ruth is rude and lacks sensitivity. Her staff booked a driving appointment with my daughter on the same day she went to class. After a special trip to pick her up, Ruth rudely commented (in front of my daughter) that maybe she is too immature to drive. As far as I know, driving skills and appointment scheduling are two different things. My daughter is an honors student with a disability! Ruth's comment was offensive and totally uncalled for! She desperately needs disability sensitivity training on top of customer service skills! I hope Ruth recalls her own comment the next time she screws up an appointment for herself! I only give Ruth's a one because there was no option for a zero. They list her number to reach on her website but she never answers,so tonight I repeatedly called and after about 15 times she finally answered. Rude as ever complaining I was disturbing her teaching, however I had tried calling numerous times and leaving a message but she never returned my calls. I have had three kids go through Ruth's. When Mac was still in Ashland they were great and about 150 bucks cheaper. Once they left Ruth's knew they had the corner market on driver's Ed and jacked their prices up and took on too much. They are unorganized, unprofessional,and RUDE as hell. I just listened to her cry how she doesn't have enough help. Hell,she offered me a job just to come and help her shuttle the kids. They covered everything during the classroom section, they were really good on that part as far as I Know .Although, even though it says class is done at 9pm do not get there until closer to 9:10, (I was misinformed by my husband what time class was done. I later found out on 7/15/2015 that class does indeed get out at 9:10), once he didn't even get out until 9:20ish. During the driving portion we were lied to per se, when my husband called to make sure our son was still with her, the instructor said they were running late because our son didn't come out until way late and they got a late start. After speaking to our son they started on time, but come to find out they made a pit stop at the academy for about an hour, so they had to make that time up driving, we didn't get a courtesy call and had to call looking for him to see where they were. (Later found out on 7/15/2015 that our son was asked if he needed to call his parents, we asked him if he was asked about calling us, but he said he does not recall being asked.) They do get there 15 min early most times, ( but have asked around and most driving schools practice this routine about getting there early.) once she was late by a few minutes. (If you are late you are charged a fee) Will not use them in the future as we have 3 other kids that will need driving school. They do offer a discount for good grades on sign up, you have to bring in a report card showing their gpa. They do not tell you this a head of time, and you can not bring it in at a later date. ( After looking on their website it is under the parents section about the good student discount.) This my opinion of this driving school. Make your own choice when choosing what school you are going to be using. More people should leave a review, especially if their experience was better than ours.Read Less
