I can't leave this school any less stars or I would! We didn't know that my son's permit expired in January. I thought it was good for 2 years (an honest mistake). He went on his drive yesterday with one of their instructors. The school was sent a copy of my son's permit as well as the state school testing they have to take (the 25 hrs online,)and the instructor checked it before they even went on the drive and they didn't even catch that it was expired. It was a mistake and when I called today to clear things up after THEY cancelled on us literally while my son was waiting on them to get here,(and they called him (a minor) and didn't discuss anything with me the parent about the permit being expired),the owner was the most absolute rudest person I've ever spoke to in my life,and I shouldn't have had to call him to find out what was going on. He should have never contacted my son, a minor. I have never been treated like such especially by a business owner...Most unprofessional thing I've ever encountered !!! He talked down to me like I was beneath him. The sad part is it was on speaker and my son heard the entire conversation. Then the owner tells me that he wrote the girl up from yesterday for not catching the mistake but it's his business and he didn't catch it either. He was sent a copy of it. So where's his write-up ??? This owner should be ashamed of himself! He was going to give all of my money back he told me to find another school and then he kept talking over me. So when I stood up for myself he got pissed off and said,fine now I'm keeping $175 of your money which he did. Then trying to short us out of $20 when I showed up to get my sons money as if he didn't keep enough, he got charged $125 for a 2-hour drive yesterday and then a $50 cancellation fee for today when they're the ones that canceled, not us ! I even asked for a copy of my contract which he says he sent me and I got proof from my phone company that I never received anything from him. I am just in absolute disbelief, I have never been treated so disrespectful and I will make sure that everybody knows exactly how rude the owner of this company is and I'm not the first one to say it because I know three other people that just finished the school and said what a real piece of work he is ,so I'm not the only one who found him to be rude! WOMAN DESERVE THE RIGHT TO TALK TOO AND NOT BE TALKED OVER, OR DOWN TOO!! The owner seems to think we don't and he won't let you get a word in... Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this school. There are other good schools in the area. You don't have to settle. That's what I did only because it was closer to my location. I should have listened to the people that had told me not to go there to begin with,that's my bad!! Makes me wonder how many more people he stole money from because that's what he did from my son today. He stole money, money that my son worked hard to earn,I hope that makes him sleep great tonight!!! I had a fantastic experience with Ohio Driving Academy in Cortland! The instructors were professional, patient, and incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. They made learning to drive feel comfortable and stress-free, while still teaching important safety skills and real-world driving techniques. My son went through another driving school and did not get his license. After going through Ohio State Driving Academy, he now has his license!!! The instructors spent time working with him to give him the confidence he needed to pass his test. My daughter also went through Ohio State Driving Academy and now has her license. Great time learning how to drive. Instructors are very professional and listen to your questions. They are very responsive and super friendly. I loved driving with instructor Megan as she was very patient and helpful to me.
