Please, please don’t go to this place if you want your teenager to get “ traumatized “ for life …
I normally don’t write reviews like this, but I feel it is important to share our experience so other families know what happened to us.
My daughter had a driving test scheduled for 7:00 p.m., and we arrived about 10 minutes early. When no one was there, I called multiple times, but no one answered. The business appeared to be closed, and after waiting, we were preparing to leave.
A few minutes later, a man arrived quickly in an older pickup truck. From my perspective, he did not appear to be someone I would have expected to be administering a driving test or representing the business. As he approached, I noticed behavior that concerned me, including stumbling and speaking in a way that made me uncomfortable, like if he was on drugs or drunk. In short, sandals and not professional at all. He asked if we had an appointment I said “yes”, then he ask for the name of the appointment.
Before allowing my teenage daughter to get into a vehicle with someone she had never met, I simply asked if he worked there ? He said “ yes” , then I asked if he could show identification. Instead of answering my question, he became confrontational and told me he was not going to deal with me and that I needed to leave or he would call the police.
I remained calm and told him he was welcome to call the police because I wanted the situation documented. During this time, he did not attempt to open the business or begin the appointment. After several minutes, law enforcement arrived and just before they arrived, then he went and opened the door and got inside, The officers spoke with both of us separately. I even asked if they would have let their daughter get on the car with that guy. They said “nope” and they advised me that if I had concerns about the interaction, I could file a formal complaint , who knows to how many people he had done that.
As a parent, my first responsibility is my daughter’s safety. I would never expect a teenager to get into a vehicle with someone who, from my perspective, arrived late, would not identify themselves when asked, and whose behavior made us uncomfortable.
Unfortunately, what should have been an exciting milestone for my daughter became a very upsetting experience. She was already nervous about taking her first driving test, and after everything that happened, she spent the drive home in tears. That is something no parent wants to see.
I’m sharing this experience because I believe other parents deserve to know what we encountered so they can make an informed decision. This is my personal experience, and I encourage everyone to do their own research and make the choice they feel is best for their family.
