Do not take your road test at Brown's Driving School unless you plan on paying for their driving lessons first. It feels like a complete scam—they will find ridiculous reasons to fail you and apply psychological pressure just to force you into enrolling in their classes.
I followed all the traffic rules and performed all the necessary head checks. However, the examiner deducted 14 points, claiming I "only looked right when turning left, and only looked left when turning right" just because they supposedly "didn't see" me do it. They then instantly failed me, claiming I was too close to a car parked on the side of the road and was going to hit it, even though I had absolutely more than enough clearance.
It genuinely feels like they target foreigners because they think we are easy targets. I have held a driver's license in China for 10 years, passed the rigorous 5-part driving test there with over three months of training, and I have been driving regularly ever since with a spotless record and zero accidents. My driving skills do not deserve to be insulted like this.
Choosing to test here was a terrible decision. One final piece of advice for anyone who still decides to go here: Bring your own dashcam. You will need the footage to prove your driving when they inevitably try to fail you for something you didn't do

I’ve had a bad experience with one of the instructors, but administration is beginning to work it out. They have been very cooperative and helpful with trying to find an instructor to better suit my needs.
Update:
They were able to have someone better suited for my special needs and situation. I have successfully completed my drives and test and now have my license. The owner had even called he wasn’t too happy about the review, but I wasn’t too happy about almost dying because of instructor not wanting to listen or consider my needs or skill level. Nonetheless, the situation has been handled. Decent experience.

When I took their basic drivers course in 2019, I’ll admit I was less than impressed due to the overall lack of instruction. However, I recently took their MSF-endorsed motorcycle course and was beyond impressed. The instructors were very kind while still being serious and genuinely cared about the students’ safety and success. I 100% recommend the motorcycle course.

I am a former Brown's student from the south OKC location where I received my motorcycle endorsement. We recently moved to Norman and have enrolled our son and will soon be enrolling another. Brown's instructors are very thorough. The classes keep all participants engaged regardless of skill level.

Brown's Driving School was an excellent learning experience and Instructor Savage was phenomenal! He was very kind and patient with my son and made the experience fun for him, putting his mind at ease. Needless to say, my son passed thanks to Brown's Driving School. We will use them in the future and I recommend requesting Instructor Savage.

Sent my son here for school and it was flawless! They were on time picking him up for the driving time, worked with his schedule for the drive times, did a great job prepping him for the driving test...
Sent my son here for school and it was flawless! They were on time picking him up for the driving time, worked with his schedule for the drive times, did a great job prepping him for the driving test. They communicated very well on everything parents need to be aware of in helping their kids get a permit and license. I will be sending another kid in 6 months.
For those that complain about the video and grumpiness of the instructors, 1) If it's one less body that someone has to pick up because of reckless driving it's worth. You are getting a license and people are depending on you not to kill them because you think you're invincible. 2) The drives are to help you gauge where you are as a driver and part of that has to do with listening. Pay attention, actively listen, and be polite. I can't imagine the number of times they have had close calls because some in distracted.

I took the basic motorcycle course in Tulsa. Good price and location for the course. Mel and Harry were our instructors. They were wonderful. They went above and beyond to help everyone in that course. They even sent me an award for "most improved rider." Now again, I took the basic course. You will not learn advanced tips and tricks in this course. They teach you the basic of riding and safety. I recommend this school and instructors to anyone learning to ride!

I took the class and it wasn't too bad. The driving instructors need to be on the same page. The first two drive instructors we okay.
The third was a nightmare. His teaching methods were completely different and he was not patient. He was condescending and yelled a lot. He rode the break so hard. When it came to parallel parking, he tried to teach me a complete different method and was frustrated when it confused me. By the end of that drive, I was almost in tears, and had not learned anything AND I was confused by the requirements on the test because his information was contradicting.
When it came time for the test he sent me to the car and when I he got it I went to start it. We have a jeep and you can hear it start, but I couldn't hear this car start, so went to turn the key the make sure and he smacked my hand and told me to stop. When we got started, I quickly realize that there is NO SPEED LIMIT SIGNS on the test course! So, being cautious, I was going a little slower because people tend to speed. In the neighborhood, there was a mother getting her toddler out of the car and I stopped because the 3rd instructor said that if the right wheels leave the center it's an automatic fail. He yelled and said he's going to fail me. So by the time I had to uphill park and parallel park I had completely shut down. When I called the main office they said "yes, there is signs" when my cousin and I drove around the course and there was NO SIGNS.
I do not recommend.
Also I would like to thank the driving instructor Kurt because he was the one who really helped me.

Took the motorcycle class here just recently. My experience was awesome and I learned a lot. I went from no experience to being able to get my license and a bike to practice on. The instructors really work with you and have a lot of experience. Class sizes make it a maximum of five people per instructor which is perfect. I would definitely recommend taking this course versus trying to take your tests at DPS w/o much experience. Take the class seriously and it will be an awesome time and more than worth it!!

Do not take your road test at Brown's Driving School unless you plan on paying for their driving lessons first. It feels like a complete scam—they will find ridiculous reasons to fail you and apply psychological pressure just to force you into enrolling in their classes.
I followed all the traffic rules and performed all the necessary head checks. However, I recently took their MSF-endorsed motorcycle course and was beyond impressed. The instructors were very kind while still being serious and genuinely cared about the students’ safety and success. I 100% recommend the motorcycle course.

Brown's Driving School was an excellent learning experience and Instructor Savage was phenomenal!
