Sherid's Driving School is a family owned and operated business established in 1961 by "Moe" Sherid. I followed in my father's footsteps by serving 26 years with the PA State Police. After retiring from the PSP, I continue Moe's legacy in teaching driving lessons throughout Westmoreland County. We celebrate 50 years of service taking pride in sharing the road with our students.

If Google had 10 stars, I would give Sherid Driving School all 10! I'm so grateful I found them. At 56 years old, I learned how to drive for the very first time. I was trying to overcome my fears, and they helped me every step of the way. They were incredibly patient, supportive, and understanding.
John Debich and John Sherid are amazing instructors, and Malinda Sherid was always so helpful with phone calls, information, and scheduling. Yesterday, I passed my driving test!
It's never too late to start something new, and you'll be in good hands with Sherid Driving School. Thank you so much! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Malinda was great! She made learning to drive easy and stress-free. Sherid’s Driving School is an awesome family-run place that really cares about their students. Highly recommend!

Very unprofessional didnt learn anything, wasted my time at gas stations and car wasnt even in good condition the alignment was bad and the instructor couldnt have been any more annoying. Dont waste y...

Best driving school around!!! Im someone who had terrible driving anxiety. Never thought in a million years id be able to drive. I was recommended to try this driving school. John was the absolute best. My first lesson I was shaking but he got me threw it. He won't baby you but makes sure your safe while he's teaching you. He's so knowledgeable and will make you feel comfortable! He truly cares about the people he's teaching. Whether your a teen looking to get your license or someone older like me who is scared to even sit in the driver's seat I HIGHLY recommend John!! Even his wife was fantastic! She took the time on the phone to tell me the exact process of what my first lesson would be and what to expect. 20/10! 💕

I was in a time crunch to get my son drivers ed classes for 4 hours and needed to schedule it asap. Melinda Sherid went above and beyond to get me in her schedule for the classes to fit my sons sched...
I was in a time crunch to get my son drivers ed classes for 4 hours and needed to schedule it asap. Melinda Sherid went above and beyond to get me in her schedule for the classes to fit my sons schedule around school and everything else. Needless to say she got him in the next day, Friday for 2 hours after school. And to top that off she actually said she would get him on SUNDAY for the other 2 hours. Note,they dont work on Sundays and she took the time to help me out with no complaints… they were booked solid and got us taken care of… thanks again Melinda, you and your husband ROCK.

My daughter Meg was involved in a car accident recently. An elderly woman went left of center. Although a newer driver, Meg made the decision to keep from hitting the telephone pole. The woman side...
My daughter Meg was involved in a car accident recently. An elderly woman went left of center. Although a newer driver, Meg made the decision to keep from hitting the telephone pole. The woman side swiped her instead. So thankful no one was seriously injured! Thank you Sherid's Driving School and John Sherid Sr.!

Melinda Sherid went above and beyond to get me in her schedule for the classes to fit my sons schedule around school and everything else.
