This place is a true nightmare. I went here and had a driving instructor named David. He was so mean to me saying I should give up trying and I will never be a real man. I tried to talk back and he told me to shut up. He also slammed the emergency brake on while I was driving because I got into the wrong lane causing a car to almost hit us. This man needs to be fired ASAP

I witnessed an employee with this company displaying road rage in traffic at St. Andrews Blvd & Wesley Dr. Vehicles were blocking a lane due to heavy traffic. The driver of a marked JAMES ISLAND DRIVING SCHOOL vehicle thought it was appropriate to lay on the horn and scream out of the window at the other vehicle. Beware of entrusting this company to properly teach any student. This behavior is extremely alarming considering this is a driving school and at least one of the employees has a temper.

Our daughter attended James Island Driving School and easily passed her driver’s test thanks to their excellent class and driving instruction. She had a great experience. Highly recommend!

James Island Driving School is the best driving school in the lowcountry. I personally came all the way from Summerville to get my Driver's Ed here, because the reputation of JI was far above any of the other local ones. If you or your child are looking for an "easy" driving school where they take you through the Taco Bell drive through and don't actually give you good lessons, then i would not recommend here.
But Anthony, as a former accident scene investigator will take you through Folly Beach, downtown, Kiawah Island, i-26, and give lessons, stories, and advice the entire way regarding real-world driving situations.
I passed the DMV driving test at the end of the week, with the highest score of the entire week thanks to Anthony and James Island Driving School.

Drivers school at their best! Professional and thorough. Takes time making sure instruction is clear and knowledgeable. I highly recommend James Island Driving School to anyone!

Working with James Island was a terrific experience. Both instructors were calm and thorough. They took their time with my student and me. During the training process, there was contructive feedback and follow up/ practice recommendations. My daughter passed the test her first time!

James Island Driving School is the best driving school in the lowcountry. I personally came all the way from Summerville to get my Driver's Ed here, because the reputation of JI was far above any of the other local ones.
