My eldest child went to driving school here & it was a breeze. Everytime i logged in for drive times i was emailed back with one guaranteed. Now my second child attends the school & im glad she has trusting driving instructors that know what theyre doing. Read Less

Terrible place. People are uneducated and will tell you different things over the phone then in person. Scheduled my test, paid the deposit, and got there only to find out that I wasn’t able to test with them due to a Florida permit. They would not refund my deposit even though they told me a Florida permit would be fine over phone. Read Less

Love it, the exam was pretty easy, though you have to take notes to breeze through the exam. I really really like my instructor, though I didn't catched her name, she is from New York. She gets straight to the point, and goes over with you the basics, and the essentials for you to take the drivers test, after you have taken your adults' course so you can get your permit. Read Less

I sent my son to the driving school because it was the closest to our house.  Unfortunately, I read the bad reviews and sent him anyway.  What a mistake!  The staff is RUDE and all have an attitude.  I thought it was just me and realized that they are RUDE to all after I read the reviews.  I signed up and paid over $400 for the class and driving school.  This was expensive amount and they did a good job of obtaining the test for the permit so we wouldn't have to take it at DPS.  But, when I registered about the driving times, I got a message that I need to pay another $20 for the driving school.  Then when I called the school, the lady with an attitude told me that Coach Adams mentioned that their is an additional fee at the beginning of the school.  Even if he did, this is an outrageous amount to pay to obtain a permit.  I can teach him as a parent rather than waste another $20 with them.If I had known all this, I would of taken an online driving school and obtained a permit that way.  This school is not worth the trouble dealing with these people.  They need another driving school in Cypress to compete with this business.  Lessons learned, I will not be sending any more of my children to this school.  Also, I will not be recommending this school to any of my friends. First of all this place charges you $300 as it says on the website. What the website doesn't say is that you have to pay another few hundred dollars when you take the classes which is really scummy and sketchy. The instructors are the rudest people that could possibly be hired and they expect you to drive perfectly as soon as you get in the car. They expect you to drive perfectly when this is a driving SCHOOL, a place where you get TAUGHT to drive. One instructor stopped the car so that we could talk about politics. The instructors also seem to have drama/politics going on since each instructor that taught me spoke badly about the other instructors. Another thing parents should consider is that they have the most broken down dilapidated cars that I've ever driven. This place should be a no-no just based on how unsafe it is to give NEW drivers the oldest cars I've ever seen. The "newest" cars they have always have an issue, such as their brakes not functioning as well as they should be. I was asked by my instructor one time not to drive above 40 miles since the car's battery couldn't take it. Another thing is that they charge you 40 dollars to take your driving test. This is a HUGE ripoff as you can take your test at a DPS for just $15. They also give you the worst cars you've seen for the tests so that you most likely fail and they grab an easy 40 bucks. Take your driving test at a DPS where the prices are $15 and you can be confident in your car since you can drive your own. Overall this place is a rip-off with rude instructors, terrible cars, and an even worse website that doesn't tell you the real cost of the place. Read Less

This driving school offers poor customer service. During the drive times, the instructors were rude and just not helpful. The instructors were more so a hindrance. When it came to my test, some fat, unattractive, Hispanic lady pulled the wheel as I was driving. She had a bad attitude. Overall I would not recommend this driving school. I STRONGLY URGED you to SPEND YOUR MONEY at ANOTHER DRIVING SCHOOL or PARENT TAUGHT.I will leave this review up here to let the owner and other potential customers to know that you can take your money elsewhere and receive good customer service and quality service. Got to do my driving test there instead of the DPS. I had trouble getting drive times at other places, but at Cypress Driving School I got my drive times done in about 10 weeks. Anytime I had trouble getting a drive time I called the owner, and he helped me get my drive time that week. This place was fast and easy to get my drive times done I recommend it to any teen who wants to get their drive times done. The big difference Is I learn something those other school they were just checking boxes. Try to request Mrs. Terry she great. Coach Adams is the best keep up the good work. Read Less

Do not go here! Signed my daughter up here and was extremely unsatisfied. The drive times are like the hunger games. You have to fight for the times and usually you can never get one unless you check every 5 minutes. The system is confusing and not to mention the bad customer service. I called up to inquire about something and received appalling service. Girl up there was choppy and rude about my question. After we spoke she thought I hung but I was still on the line and I could hear her cursing at me and how I was "bothering her for sh*t". Why put a teenager (or she sounded like one) who is not up to do the task she is supposed to. Overall experience was terrible. Would not recommend. Read Less

I am very satisfied with my experience as a parent, and my son's student experience w/ Cypress Driving School! There was heavy emphasis in an early parent meeting on paying attention to when drive times are posted so you can get scheduled, and you would do well to heed this alert! I never had an issue(not one) scheduling my son and was able to get a drive time w/ each new drive time posting! In fact, in that early parent meeting it was also emphasized that IF you are not able to get a drive time you just need to call the school and they will get you one even if the schedule was full! The school was "as advertised" especially in providing the necessary doc for my son to get his permit in the 1st week of class! I am told that there is a discount provided for sending other family members to the school, which is a plus, but since my youngest just went through I can't take advantage of it but I will still recommend this school to anyone that asks. Obtaining drive times is a big challenge to get online, but eventually through emailing saying none were available they would assign you a few slots.Disappointment:  While Drug and Alcohol Driving Awareness is covered in the course, if you want the certificate required by your insurance company for the discount, you have to drive to their office and pay an ADDITIONAL $25 fee to obtain this from Cypress Driving School.   This may have imbedded somewhere in the disclaimers.   Needs to be included in the package all together or provided option up front more clearly. Terrible customer service. Very difficult to get drive times. Confusing system. This organization is obviously not properly run. It makes the process to get a license difficult, long, and taxing. The other reviews are accurate. AVOID CYPRESS DRIVING SCHOOL. Other driving schools or parent taught would have made the process much easier. Read Less

I have sent both of my children through and I am happy that I have. Each one has passed their driving test with flying colors. Drive-times were easy to get and the school always worked with my daughters schedules. Plus the insurance discounts saved us a lot of money. The office staff helped me schedule drive-times around my daughter's schedule and made the process of learning to drive easy for both of my children. Thanks Cypress Driving School for all your help. This school is or shall I say good for the class lecture time for my daughter, but trying to schedule a drive time with them is awful, you have to do it online, and the available times are posted every other monday and if you can't get or find an available day, than you have to wait.  We finished about 1.5 months ago, but still have not had driving time with THEM yet.  My other daughter did it with Champions driving school on grant rd, and it was never like this..  They were great, professional, accommodating, helpful.  To be honest, I am very sorry we picked this school this time.  Would I recommend it to a friend, No. Read Less

Someone did a good job covering "EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF, INCONSISTENT POLICIES, AND OBNOXIOUS SERVICES".  I concur.  The only form of communication with this institution that works is driving to the office and standing around.  Voice mail - not returned.  Email - not returned.  If you do get someone, they are rude because everyone in the world should take the time to figure out their messed up system.The scheduling is totally unacceptable, especially for a mandatory surcharge of $16.00 per student.  It is run like a pinata.  The coach lets loose a bunch of slots on the internet, and parents are supposed to scramble around in real time and grab a slot before they are all gone.  There is no preallocation of slots.I will get a huffy response from Coach Adams admonishing me for not using the system correctly.  I'm supposed to call him.  See above.  I'm supposed to email him.  See above.  There is nothing wrong with his school, it is fantastic.  If he spent half the time fixing the problems that he does tracking down bad ratings and refuting them with no answers, his school would indeed be great. EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF, INCONSISTENT POLICIES, AND OBNOXIOUS SERVICESI can't believe in what happened to me just now! I called in to ask for information about the adult driving class (the 6 hour class). A woman told me if I pre-register and pay $25 before the class, it'd cost $100 and if I walk in on the class day, I have to pay $125. Later that day, I called in to pre-register, an annoyed woman voice (not sure if the same person) told me that there was no pre-registration whatsoever. "You can just show up!" In confusion, I asked her again if they would like to take down my name or information, she almost yelled at me that I could just come in. I was about to ask if they have a cap/maximum space for each class and SHE HANG UP ON ME!!!!!!!WHAT KIND OF SERVICE WOULD HANG UP ON A CUSTOMER LIKE THIS? WHAT KIND OF SCHOOL THAT DOESN'T HAVE A REGISTRATION SIGN-UP SYSTEM? Read Less
