Thank you to everyone at HCC CDL program. I chose HCC because of the reviews and the time in the truck is simply unmatched. I was not disappointed... Jamie, Mr. G, Nick, Valerie and anyone else I may have missed were all very knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cared about each student.

I’m giving 2 stars but that MIGHT be too much but I’ll just roll with it.
Pros: I want to thank Jaime, Mr. Robert & Mr. Clyde. They have a heart & patience for the students and the raggedy equipment they have to deal with at this school.
Con’s: Mr.Bill is a negative person and he really has it in his head that he is a Christian. How do you close the day out with prayer but then talk to the class negatively about not passing? If you’re not on his timeframe (1st week) of not having you’re written exams done be prepared to hear negativity out of his mouth. People really do have other things going on in life while trying their best to balance coming to better themselves. O and he think he really runs EVERYTHING but he does not!
BEWARE of these trucks. I choose to learn in manual which was cool but….most of those trucks DO NOT have A/C and the clutch/gears are TERRIBLE! The last two weeks are backing maneuvers and EVERYDAY something was wrong with those trucks and trailers. Stiff clutch, doors don’t close shut and you have to hold the door and then practice backing at the same time or the trailer brakes was stuck. Keep in mind they only have 1 mechanic to fix stuff and I feel sorry for him. Hire that good guy some help!
This school charges almost $4500 per student for 6 weeks of class and it really shouldn’t be no reason why we had to endure such trash equipment. I had 9 people in my class that’s $40,000 so yeah we deserved a better experience. My knee is still hurting from those raggedy stiff clutches too!!
Anyways I’m not saying don’t come here but you’ve been informed.

HCC CDL training program is amazing. The instructors are very knowledgeable, patient and dedicated to insuring you gain the proper skills needed to operate a semi-truck. I went from not having no trucking experience at all to understanding the daily functions of a semi-truck. Before HCC I had never been on the inside of a semi-truck, I literally started from nothing. I never drove a manual vehicle before yet alone a semi-truck. All this was taught to me to in a short period of time and now it feels like second nature. I would 100% recommend HCC CDL training program to beginners and advanced individuals pursuing their commerical driving license.

This is a great school. I took weekend classes for 8 weeks and today 1/15/25 I passed my exam in the first try. The instructors will teach you right, they are very professional, Mr. Schorter, Mr. Pablo and Mr. Hayes were all great instructors and were very thorough in teaching all there is to becoming a trucker. I recommend this school to anyone wanting to obtain their CDL!

they will try to fail for nonrelevant, not you knowledge but for things that have no consequence.
They will steal your money.
Don't go there.

Never under four , even on school grounds
I finished in October . It's almost January and I still have no certificate . When I first asked for it , they asked if I hasd passed yet !
So the state the F. B. I. , and the examiner knew but the ones I paid were still clueless
They turned rude and ugly and claim they have sent my certification
Yet I still don't have it
I learned later that the rude lady is the one that could have printed it right there
She was just being vindictive
When I called hcc dean, I was directed back to the dean of the N. E. Campus , but he is the problem that needs to be addressed
I definitely would not pay 3500$ for this course
They take your money and your on your own way more than you should be
It's a shame though, I had some good instructors and examiner
Some of which voiced the same complaints ,sadly their hands were tied

I enjoyed this School and some of the instructors. It is Very fast past however they give you most of the information you will need its up to you to study and work hard for it. Thank you so much to Mrs Octavia ,Tommy , Dwayne and The best examiner Drake for helping me and encouraging to pass and further my career
I was the youngest Female to Attend and Pass 1st try. My class was about 7 boys including my Husband . (Yes my husband and i are team drivers ) and it was a 6 weeks course . Monday - Thursday 8am -5pm Friday was a study day and practice day. 4/7 Passed thier Road test 1st Try ( Including Me i was #3 ) We all help each other out and pushed each other to the best we could be :)! I enjoyed this school and what it offers . A lot of Guys said it was hard and they didnt pass and etc but Its only hard when you make it hard! and When you dont put in the effort ! There is absolutely NO REASON for you to fail this ! Everything was given at your fingertips ! Thank you Hcc truck driving for allowing me to further my career and succeed :)!

Took evening classes from April -June 2017.
Max students per class is 12 but we where only 5 of us, 1 dropped out so only 4 continued until the end. Paid out of pocket because financial aid has a wait of up to 3 months. If your willing to wait do so if not go for it because most companies will do tuition reimbursement.
Mr.Garci the Director of the program gave the introduction of the course and was there to give us the classroom part. They will provide you with all the paperwork that you need to pass the course.
***F.Y.I*** TREAT THIS AS A COLLEGE CLASS! No one will hold your hand and spoon feed you, if you are expecting them to show you everything while you lay back in your chair the entire time i advise you to save your time and money. To go into this industry you must have some sort of dicipline and willingness to put 110% effort at every task at hand.
MAJOR TIP ALERT!!!!: If you are considering taking this course i strongly advice to you get ahead of the game by doing your research on:
● Obtaining your CDL (Study for all the test)
●Youtube: Pretrip Inspections.
●Youtube: How Shifting Works
●YouTube: How to parallel, back and offset
Those will be the major topics to master , once you have a greater understanding in those topics the entire course will be a smooth ride. The hardest part will be the shifting and if you make sense of how the truck reacts and moves you will be okay at backing and parking. Have patience and be open to learn everyones point of view.

I invested my own money to pay for this CDL program. This school was a horrible choice. Everything from day one was wrong. I basically had to teach myself everything. I understand the class/writing part but not the driving also. I have to learn from other students that was in class before ours. The evening class have no lights in the back where the driving track to see what you are doing. You have only to 5:30 to 9 p.m...I did end up getting my license thank God. The school was no help of getting it

This is a great school. I took weekend classes for 8 weeks and today 1/15/25 I passed my exam in the first try. The instructors will teach you right, they are very professional, Mr. Schorter, Mr. Pablo and Mr. Hayes were all great instructors and were very thorough in teaching all there is to becoming a trucker. I recommend this school to anyone wanting to obtain their CDL!
