Do not waste your time or money here. Save yourself the stress and just use Aceable instead.
This is now the third time they have no-showed for my son’s driving lesson. I repeatedly tried calling and left messages, but no one responds and no one seems to care at all.
Communication is absolutely terrible. On multiple occasions, they canceled lessons at the last minute without notifying us. We only found out after arriving — and one time my son was literally left at the school without an instructor.
When confronted, they made false excuses, claiming they had called us when they absolutely did not. There is no accountability, no professionalism, and no concern for students or parents.
In my experience, Richard Reyna (the owner) does not care, and Dawn, his manager, does not care either. It is shocking to me that this business is still able to operate after so many ongoing complaints.
It feels like they only want to take your money and do not care whether students actually complete the course. This place is unreliable and disorganized.
I deeply regret choosing this driving school, would never recommend it to anyone, and will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

Parents...find a new driving school or do the full parent taught option with your child. THIS is NOT the best option. After my child letting me know how horrible it is it gives me anxiety so I can't imagine how the kids feel. I repeat...FIND A DIFFERENT DRIVING SCHOOL ( I HAVE EXPERIENCED THE RUDENESS FROM THE LADY AT PFLUGERVILLE LOCATION)

This place is ok. I wouldn’t recommend it if you actually want to learn, as all of the answers are just read off to you with little explanation. The front desk lady is rude and ignorant and treated me with disrespect when I did nothing. I was able to get my permit after attending, but I didn’t do any of the 14 driving/observation hours as i honestly just wanted to be done with this place the minute the 16 days ended. I attended the 11-1 morning session and my instructor was a fairly nice black man. He did put students that were obviously socially anxious in kind of awkward embarrassing situations and I felt bad. Overall there were no issues with my instructor, just the way of teaching. Answers were just read off “#1 is A, #2 is C” and so on. They definitely did have useful information. My biggest complaint was the evening instructor who I think did the 5-7 classes. This was kind of crazy. Although my class only had to deal with him once or twice, I can only imagine what the other class went through (the evening session he taught). No matter what political views or opinions you have, I’m sure it would be upsetting hearing that this is what your child was “learning” after you pay for the driving school costs. This was very disappointing having to listen to this grown man ramble on and on about political issues to teenagers- completely unrelated to driving whatsoever. He went on this rant for so long we had to stay an extra 5 or so minutes after the class time ended to fill in the answers on our answer sheets. To give an idea on how unrelated this was- he furiously talked about some sort of law or something in which people are trying to remove playgrounds from fast food places (like McDonalds play places) because the play area will draw in children’s attention which is bad because McDonalds will make them fat? These were his words, and personally I have heard nothing about this. He then went on to talk about any political figures voting for this law deserve to “sit on a bus with crying and screaming children for hours until they change their mind”. Many other controversial topics were brought up, while all students were just sitting quietly. Honestly being in that room felt like you were the first people he got to express his opinions to in a very long time. At the end of the day I finished and got my permit, so whatever. But like I said I can only imagine what that evening class dealt with because honestly at the end of this guys rant my ears were about ready to bleed. There’s probably better options out there for a driving school for you or your child and I would definitely recommend trying to find something better. Thanks for reading.

Great driving school with great customer service!! I have had my child go through their program in the pflugerville location and I have been very impressed with the outcome. The staff there is very professional, always happy and eager to help you. Everything was explained throughly and all the teachers were very nice. Their teaching schedule was very flexible. This place is all about safety and teaching your children safe driving and responsibility. This school is worth every penny!. Definitely would recommend to anyone!!.

The front desk woman is very rude. I usually just ignore it but today takes the cake. My son was scheduled last minute for a driving lesson today at 5. We had an emergency and I needed to cancel. I tried calling up there for 2 hours before his scheduled drive with no answer or answering machine to leave a message. I received a phone call 5 min. after 5 so I let her know that he will not be there for the lesson, also that I had been trying to call for the last two hours with no answer. She snapped at me, said she had been there implying I was lying and then hung up on me. This is a good school however has very poor customer service. I'm glad we are almost done!

My child has apparently been relegated to chauffeuring the driving instructor on errands instead of learning how to drive. During the most recent driving time, the instructor (Kris/Chris?) spent most of the time in the car on his cell phone, had the students wait in the car for approx. 10-15 minutes at Mode'le Salon and Spa and then wait for another (approximately) 5-10 minutes at Marquis Shoreline apartments. He then drove approximately 15 mph over the speed limit to return the children to the office...late, I might add. I have serious concerns about what may have transpired during those stops. At the very least, they never should have happened.I called and left messages with both Richard Reyna and the office manager at 512-280-4499, but neither one bothered to return my call.

How funny it could be when you will find someone taking your information, says I will call you back, and you don't hear anything after one week? I called them to setup a schedule, waited one week for their call and called them again. They are saying they have no information about me and they have no schedule out of office hours - which somebody promised in the last week. How these call centers are screwed up businesses in US !!! Are you only caring about your time? Or someone's time may have more value than you?

Do I really have to even give these fools a single star? That's more than they deserve.Avoid this place like the plague! First, this place is disgusting. My daughter was in good health when she started driving school, then after a week into class she became very sick. I had to rush her to the ER! She had contracted a viral bacteria that the office person there had. I discovered that it was contracted from the driving school when the office person admitted to having the exact same illness but tried convincing me that it wasn't contagious- yeah right. Secondly, this place is extremely unorganized. My daughter was supposed to start the driving portion back when school started, she had herself added to the list to drive on the final day of class, I had to keep calling back to get her added- every time I called I was told to expect a call in 2 weeks with a driving time...nothing happened! At this point, they just start playing like they have amnesia because every time I've called this location or the corporate office, I'm told I'll be called back but it never happens until today. Today I say that I want my money back and I'm told that I'll have to pay a fee for breaking the contract! Yes they did! After I've called time after time to get driving time scheduled in the one breaking the contract? I don't think so- this place is ridiculous! I won't rest until I get a full refund.

Very friendly staff and instructors. The scheduling and payment methods were a little archaic, but I guess if it isn't broke, don't fix it. I never called in to make an appointment because I always did it when I picked him up from class. You were able to choose which instructor you signed up to drive with, so you could keep the same one each time or choose another. They always had plenty of openings. They always gave us a reminder call for our drive time so that we didn't forget. They even called to remind us of how many hours we still had needed to complete and scheduled more drive time appointments for us. They get the worst part ....getting in the vehicle with a teenager for their first time behind the wheel. Now I can be a little more relaxed when it is my turn to ride along to log drive time.

It was unorganized, at best, and they were not very professional. It seems as if they are taking advantage of the fact that they are the ""only game in town"". Each time my child would go out driving, it was with a different instructor who had a different style of how they wanted the driving done. This caused confusion for my child and the others in the car. They are also not very patient and understanding of kids who have never driven before. The 3rd day out driving, they were taking the kids on I-35!!! This is not safe and we objected strenuously but pressure to go on the highway persisted so we pulled our child out of the course. We are now doing the teaching ourselves and our child will get a license at her own pace. Austin Driving School is concerned only about the cash and not the safety or well being of the kids in their charge. I'd love to see them get shut down but, as I said previously, they are the only game in town. Be smart and teach your child yourself if you can.

Disastrous management and ridiculously outdated process of scheduling classes. Classroom portion was ok, but scheduling driving classes was extremely frustrating. Students can only schedule one class per week and they have to call on Mondays to make appointments (2 weeks in advance!). Two of my son's classes were cancelled with almost no notice and because the schedule was already full, he had to wait three weeks to get another slot. It took my son 10 weeks to get his 7 required driving lessons. They also failed to let us know how to schedule the driving lessons with DPS. Don't put yourself through this gauntlet of gloom - go somewhere else for lessons

This is the worst school in Austin. It is more than just a joke - it is an abomination. They are poorly managed and poorly organized to say the lease. They loose paperwork, don't write things down, tell you it will get fixed then it doesn't and you end you redoing lessons for no reason. It is impossible to schedule driving lessons (hours on the phone to be told no times open) and if you miss a lesson and make it up - they don't keep track and you end up redoing it again! The manager Mr Varnell is rude and NOT helpful in anyway. They obviously doesn't understand the concept of customer service or running a business. The only reason they are still in business is because they dupe the consumer in to thinking things are easy and they will take care of everything. There system is archaic to say the least and contributes to their lack of organization or proper collection and storage of records. Will NEVER recommend this company EVER.

STAY WAY unless you want to waste you time, money and life! This is the worst school in Austin. It is a front for a poorly run rip off joint for parent of teenagers needing to learn to drive. They classes are poorly run, taught and managed. The driving hours are inconvenient and impossible to schedule. They loose your paperwork, don't write things down that they tell you. Have substitues who mess up the rosters and they say they will get fixed then you end you redoing lessons for no reason because of their incompetence.We were told all his classes and driving lessons were complete until we went to pick up the paperwork then ""poof"" lessons were missing that were already made up. What a joke! Sure the classroom instruction is fine but then again you can get the same online! I saw they picked up at our son's school and thought oh, how convenient. That's the only convenience and you pay dearly with inconveniences afterward. Once you get to the driving portion you get to call once a week at 3 PM, Thurs only! If by some miracles you get through while appointments are available they do nothing for behind the wheel but evaluate how well you taught your child to drive, what am I paying THEM for?! Then your child conveniently doesn't get enough points during the included driving sessions so now you get to pay them even more and schedule more appointments through their stupid system. What a joke! Go to ABC, drive out of town, anything but go to these jokers!

This driving school is an absolute joke. How are they still in business with numerous complaints to the BBB, DPS, TEA and the Texas Attorney General? I have had it with them, trying to schedule drive time is like trying to be the 100th caller on a radio station give away. I just shelled out another $325.00 for my son to go to a different school (ABC). who scheduled his 7 drive times to be completed in the next two weeks. That is the way it should be done. Truly unbelievable.

The classroom hours were no problem to complete, but six weeks later our daughter has only two hours of driving. Calling on Thursdays to schedule drive time is a joke. You'll never reach them before they are booked. My daughter is in school all day and my wife and I work full time, so, going to the school to schedule drive time is not an option. We are not happy with the arrangements to schedule drive times. After several complaints to the Round Rock and Austin offices we still don't have any scheduled drive times. Every time they have promised to call us back, they haven't. I would look elsewhere if I had to do this over again.

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL. The staff is totally inept and rude. They make ""Appointments"" for ""behind the wheel instruction"" and NEVER show up for the ""Appointments."" They stood up my kid three times. I have made a complaint w/ the Texas Department of Public Safety and they (DPS) said that they have had numerous complaints (about Austin Driving School) and agree that this driving school is incompentent. THey will be doing a ""investigation"" of Austin Driving School. Do yourself a favor and either teach your kid to drive (online) or go somewhere else. I cannot itterate just how terrible these people are. My kid missed the last 2 days of class (hospital)...and he was given a 100 on the final...that he NEVER took....they are inept and unethical. Please just stay away. I have also filed a complaint w/ the Texas Attorney General and the Be tter Bu siness Bu reau. Do your research and stay away.

Do not waste your time or money here. Save yourself the stress and just use Aceable instead.
This is now the third time they have no-showed for my son’s driving lesson. I repeatedly tried calling and left messages, but no one responds and no one seems to care at all.

Great driving school with great customer service!! I have had my child go through their program in the pflugerville location and I have been very impressed with the outcome. The staff there is very professional, always happy and eager to help you. Everything was explained throughly and all the teachers were very nice. Their teaching schedule was very flexible. Today I say that I want my money back and I'm told that I'll have to pay a fee for breaking the contract! Yes they did! After I've called time after time to get driving time scheduled in the one breaking the contract? I don't think so- this place is ridiculous! I won't rest until I get a full refund.

Very friendly staff and instructors. The scheduling and payment methods were a little archaic, but I guess if it isn't broke, don't fix it. I never called in to make an appointment because I always did it when I picked him up from class. You were able to choose which instructor you signed up to drive with, so you could keep the same one each time or choose another. They always had plenty of openings. They always gave us a reminder call for our drive time so that we didn't forget. They even called to remind us of how many hours we still had needed to complete and scheduled more drive time appointments for us. They get the worst part ....getting in the vehicle with a teenager for their first time behind the wheel. Now I can be a little more relaxed when it is my turn to ride along to log drive time.

It was unorganized, at best, and they were not very professional. It seems as if they are taking advantage of the fact that they are the ""only game in town"". Each time my child would go out driving, it was with a different instructor who had a different style of how they wanted the driving done. This caused confusion for my child and the others in the car. They are also not very patient and understanding of kids who have never driven before. The 3rd day out driving, they were taking the kids on I-35!!! This is not safe and we objected strenuously but pressure to go on the highway persisted so we pulled our child out of the course. We are now doing the teaching ourselves and our child will get a license at her own pace. Austin Driving School is concerned only about the cash and not the safety or well being of the kids in their charge. I'd love to see them get shut down but, as I said previously, they are the only game in town. Be smart and teach your child yourself if you can.

Disastrous management and ridiculously outdated process of scheduling classes. Classroom portion was ok, but scheduling driving classes was extremely frustrating. Students can only schedule one class per week and they have to call on Mondays to make appointments (2 weeks in advance!). Two of my son's classes were cancelled with almost no notice and because the schedule was already full, he had to wait three weeks to get another slot. It took my son 10 weeks to get his 7 required driving lessons. They also failed to let us know how to schedule the driving lessons with DPS. Don't put yourself through this gauntlet of gloom - go somewhere else for lessons

This is the worst school in Austin. It is more than just a joke - it is an abomination. They are poorly managed and poorly organized to say the lease. They loose paperwork, don't write things down, tell you it will get fixed then it doesn't and you end you redoing lessons for no reason. It is impossible to schedule driving lessons (hours on the phone to be told no times open) and if you miss a lesson and make it up - they don't keep track and you end up redoing it again! The manager Mr Varnell is rude and NOT helpful in anyway. They obviously doesn't understand the concept of customer service or running a business. The only reason they are still in business is because they dupe the consumer in to thinking things are easy and they will take care of everything. There system is archaic to say the least and contributes to their lack of organization or proper collection and storage of records. Will NEVER recommend this company EVER.

STAY WAY unless you want to waste you time, money and life! This is the worst school in Austin. It is a front for a poorly run rip off joint for parent of teenagers needing to learn to drive. They classes are poorly run, taught and managed. The driving hours are inconvenient and impossible to schedule. They loose your paperwork, don't write things down that they tell you. Have substitues who mess up the rosters and they say they will get fixed then you end you redoing lessons for no reason because of their incompetence.We were told all his classes and driving lessons were complete until we went to pick up the paperwork then ""poof"" lessons were missing that were already made up. That's the only convenience and you pay dearly with inconveniences afterward. Once you get to the driving portion you get to call once a week at 3 PM, Thurs only! If by some miracles you get through while appointments are available they do nothing for behind the wheel but evaluate how well you taught your child to drive, what am I paying THEM for?! Then your child conveniently doesn't get enough points during the included driving sessions so now you get to pay them even more and schedule more appointments through their stupid system. What a joke! Go to ABC, drive out of town, anything but go to these jokers!

This driving school is an absolute joke. How are they still in business with numerous complaints to the BBB, DPS, TEA and the Texas Attorney General? I have had it with them, trying to schedule drive time is like trying to be the 100th caller on a radio station give away. I just shelled out another $325.00 for my son to go to a different school (ABC). who scheduled his 7 drive times to be completed in the next two weeks. That is the way it should be done. Truly unbelievable.

The classroom hours were no problem to complete, but six weeks later our daughter has only two hours of driving. Calling on Thursdays to schedule drive time is a joke. You'll never reach them before they are booked. My daughter is in school all day and my wife and I work full time, so, going to the school to schedule drive time is not an option. We are not happy with the arrangements to schedule drive times. After several complaints to the Round Rock and Austin offices we still don't have any scheduled drive times. Every time they have promised to call us back, they haven't. I would look elsewhere if I had to do this over again.

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL. The staff is totally inept and rude. They make ""Appointments"" for ""behind the wheel instruction"" and NEVER show up for the ""Appointments."" They stood up my kid three times. I have made a complaint w/ the Texas Department of Public Safety and they (DPS) said that they have had numerous complaints (about Austin Driving School) and agree that this driving school is incompentent. THey will be doing a ""investigation"" of Austin Driving School. Do yourself a favor and either teach your kid to drive (online) or go somewhere else. I cannot itterate just how terrible these people are. My kid missed the last 2 days of class (hospital)...and he was given a 100 on the final...that he NEVER took....they are inept and unethical. Please just stay away. I have also filed a complaint w/ the Texas Attorney General and the Be tter Bu siness Bu reau. Do your research and stay away.
