Wow I don't know where to start as there's a lot of good things to talk about. Let me start with England Premier Trucking Driving School. My initial hiring team did a great job to bring me on board to C. R. England, taking me through every step till my arrival at SLC, UT. Kudos Joshua Taggart & Vorite! Upon arrival to C. R. England there was that atmosphere everybody was treated as family and that was a joyful and relaxing feeling and down deep in my heart I knew I was in the right place to succeed in my ambitions, dreams and goals in the transportation industry. We were all given a warm welcome and started trucking school. I was assigned Noah my Backing Instructor and Clemente my Driving Instructor and also worked with all the other Instructors and they were all articulate and thorough in their training. All one needs to do is follow their instructions and that's almost a guaranteed One & Done during testing. Testing was equally an amazing experience and as normal, students are tensed before testing and the examiners try to relax us and they're very polite while doing their testing. During hiring process Mindy is one amazing and awesome person together with Christy and the entire management team. One thing that I have observed and struck me is the level of Safety Advocacy that C. R. England has and the care to see every body work safe and go home safe. That is a strong commitment that I am admiring and wanting to stay with C. R. England for a long haul to build my trucking career. C. R. England is the right choice and place to be and where you meet amazing and awesome people who treat you as family and also get the best of the best training and work environment above and beyond, excellence and professional team players!!! I was surprised at how busy the place was. I had no idea what to expect upon arrival. The staff was friendly & professional. Although it was somewhat overwhelming, I was able to navigate and get all my questions answered. I've completed the CDL test, orientation and am now awaiting my mentor/trainer to give me that hands-on experience. My GOAL has been met. I would recommend this school/facility. Read Less

I'm a new driver. I was just hired today. The school has dorm style accommodations, a restaurant, and many options to ensure a positive experience. Their program is an accelerated one. I started on 4/9/18. I completed the program yesterday. We had 10 hr.+ days sometimes mixed between class time, road, and range instruction. This accelerated schedule allowed me to do this. You have to apply yourself. There are some really good instructors here, but some only added confusion. My road instructor, Ms. Sandra was outstanding! The epitome of what a road instructor should be! I can't say enough about her demeanor, and teaching style! Rico, Juan, DeeJay, and Kalauni are also, frighteningly good at their jobs! They made learning easy! They care about you as a student, and it shows. I 'd definitely recommend this school to people who want an educational, expedited CDL curriculum. I feel bad for these people that work for this company. They have LOTS of limitations and dont get anything from their company. First, their drivers can go a maximum speed of 62mph. They are major governed trucks. At least give them 66-68 mph. Their drivers FREEZE during the winter time. Their trucks do NOT have an APU in them to heat their drivers and the trucks turn OFF due to automatic idle restrictions. SO NO HEAT if they are STUCK at a truck stop during a winter outtage. This means their driver has to re-switch on the ignition constantly and NOT sleep. These trucks are nearly stupidly automated. and automation is supposed to be "intelligent". The bottom line is. These are giant robotic carts going down the road with some ill-treated person at the controls. Read Less

Tried doing the right thing to help a fellow driver avoid a violation and it took 15+ minutes for someone to answer and when I told the gentleman on the phone he treated more of a hindrance as apposed to being grateful. Fine that says all I need to know about England. I won't be calling again, enjoy the violations! Read Less

This is for the office at 16491 NC-87, Tar Heel, NC 28392 Should be NO STARS due to NO RESPONSE (but a star is required in order to post a review) Can't say how their other customer service within the business but I will comment on their response for truck driving damage to my personal property. One of their company's trucks turned around in my driveway and backed into my mailbox/post damaging it beyond repair. I notified Thomas Horne via phone and email with the date, time and trailer number and he said that he would follow up on it 09/01/2017. I received no response so I called and resent the first email (to Thomas) again on 10/04/2017. I was told that he forwarded the email to the appropriate person/dept. Again, no follow up/response. Of course we replaced the posts and moved my mailbox to a new post. If CR England has no intention of repairing the damage caused by their driver, I expect a response as such. They have ignored the written request for repairs twice as well as two phone conversations. Read Less

Not a bad company to work for,they usually are good on loads getting to where it needs to be on time. But pay is very low if you don't push it to the max. The pay I make now is about three times more than what I was getting paid at England. My time on the road now is five days out and home every weekend with a fat check. Amazing training! I was given exactly what I needed to pass. HOWEVER, it is non-stop! I was in class at 6am and in bed at 9pm for seven straight days and was either reading, listening, studying a truck or driving. No time to play our socialize. But all worth it. Passed in my first effort. I get the feeling that that the dormitory living is meant to prep you for life on the road in a sleeper. The only downside in the dorm is that so many people have such poor hygiene and were never taught to pick up after themselves. Read Less

In my opinion C.R. England is a great school. It requires patience and it will pay off in the end. You get to meet people from all walks of life and the instructors are great with hands on training. The staff and instructors are top notch. It's a bit difficult to adjust to the living arrangements but the important thing is the school. You have to be into your own education. Don't just sit around and wait for them to teach you something. Be available, ask questions, and practice as much as you can. It is totally worth it. Read Less
