We paid $300 for my son to get his certificate and then we're planning to pay for the driving hours so he can get his license. We've received nothing since March 2026 , it's now June. We've gone by several times to try to speak to someone and no one is ever there. The owner texted and said he would send it but never did. Now he's not responding to any messages at all . Now we're iut $300 and so have to try to pay another driving school.

I feel robbed!! We paid for the class months ago, our son completed the class and was told to call back a week before his 18th birthday, so that the instructor could call his contact at the DMV and have them mail out our son's license. We called Hancock Driving school last week and have not been able to get in contact with anyone. There was a lengthy automated voice recording saying that they are out of town and dont possess a license with the DMV at this time. The call goes on to say that someone will call you back if you leave a voicemail or text, I have tried to contact them several times and received no reply, or response. Besides our son being rushed through the class, there were times when we couldn't get a hold of the instructor and it was very unprofessional!!!! As paying clients I don't feel it was worth the money. It sounded shady from the beginning! We have nothing to prove we completed the class but text message and receipts showing we paid. We chose Hancock because we've seen them around for years and thought it was a reputable company. I wish we would've went with another company. As of now we are out the money we spent and no license! They are not getting back to us. Maybe Andy Fox can help! I'm sure we are not the only ones!.

My daughter was booked weeks ago for behind the wheel training. I contacted Hancock by text message earlier in the week to confirm the time and start of the week of spring break as that seemed to be the best way to contact them. I received no response. I again contacted a couple days later to inquire again as it is now the Friday before staring on Monday. This time I called and received an automated message advising they have cancelled all upcoming classes due to a licensure situation. This is very unprofessional as someone should have contacted me directly in advance so I could try to make other arrangements. I am also expecting a refund of my deposit. Terrible business. I will never recommend anyone to them.

I took a driver improvement course at Hancock today, and it was awesome! The info was super helpful, and the instructor was really friendly. The place was clean and comfy too. I’d definitely recommend Hancock to anyone who needs to take a DMV course.

He's a very professional and relatable instructor. He is able to explain and elaborate on every topic if need be. I highly recommend this driving school over all the other ones in 757.💯

Had a great time. Class is 8 hours long but my teacher mad the time go by fast. Great teacher definitely be coming back for for the behind the wheel test. And he's funny too!! :)

I got Lane Hancock. He was a poor instructor. He put us behind the wheel, & then said nothing, LITERALLY! His teaching skills are very poor, & if you do decide to go hear for some reason, ask for some...
I got Lane Hancock. He was a poor instructor. He put us behind the wheel, & then said nothing, LITERALLY! His teaching skills are very poor, & if you do decide to go hear for some reason, ask for someone other than Lane. He texts while students drives.
I have no reason to lie on this review, stay away from him if you actually want to learn anything.
Not surprisingly, I failed my final driving test, because I learned nothing from him!!!

We paid $300 for my son to get his certificate and then we're planning to pay for the driving hours so he can get his license. We've received nothing since March 2026 , it's now June. We've gone by several times to try to speak to someone and no one is ever there. The owner texted and said he would send it but never did. Now he's not responding to any messages at all . Now we're iut $300 and so have to try to pay another driving school.

We paid for the class months ago, our son completed the class and was told to call back a week before his 18th birthday, so that the instructor could call his contact at the DMV and have them mail out our son's license. We called Hancock Driving school last week and have not been able to get in contact with anyone. There was a lengthy automated voice recording saying that they are out of town and dont possess a license with the DMV at this time. The call goes on to say that someone will call you back if you leave a voicemail or text, I have tried to contact them several times and received no reply, or response. My daughter was booked weeks ago for behind the wheel training. I contacted Hancock by text message earlier in the week to confirm the time and start of the week of spring break as that seemed to be the best way to contact them. I received no response. I again contacted a couple days later to inquire again as it is now the Friday before staring on Monday.
