My sister enrolled in the behind the wheel driving program and paid in full. However, the website was not clear in explaining how the behind-the-wheel program works and what level of prior driving experience was required.
In addition, no consultation or assessment was conducted before accepting payment to determine whether she was a suitable fit for the program or whether the program matched her current experience level and needs.
On her first day, her instructor James asked her how much experience she had and she let him know that she had very little driving experience. After only her second behind-the-wheel session, the instructor James then told her that she needed to have a family member help her gain more driving experience and he would be ending her sessions. This important requirement was never communicated before payment, during enrollment, or even after she disclosed her limited experience on day one.
Had this information been disclosed upfront, she would have been able to make an informed decision before paying for the program. Instead, she enrolled believing the services purchased would provide the instruction she needed.
Once this became clear, she requested a refund. Your company advised that a refund would be issued, but then stopped responding to her communications. This went on for weeks. Because no resolution or refund was provided, she had to dispute the charge through PayPal. Unfortunately, the owner of the company Ashby then responded by stating services were provided, which resulted in the dispute being denied and her not receiving her money back.
This situation is disappointing and appears misleading. Accepting payment without clearly explaining the program requirements, failing to address her disclosed lack of experience, promising a refund, and then contradicting that promise during the dispute process is unacceptable. Customers deserve clear expectations, upfront honest communication and FAIR treatment. This reflects poorly on the company and speaks volumes to how you all do business. Read Less
