The driving instructors here in Gig Harbor are unprofessional. I had driving experience with two of the driving instructors at this school. They do not teach properly, yet one of them at one of the days had time asking personal questions. Both of the instructors were angry most of the driving time, leaving students feeling lost under the pressure of their outbursts. If instructors cannot control their emotions while teaching, they shouldn't be in this profession. Students need someone who acts professionally and knows how to provide proper guidance instead of becoming annoyed, impatient, and angry. They expect you to be a pro from the beginning. We're no longer in the 'Gen X' era where people practiced without permits or came to driving school already trained by their parents, students come here to learn from experts, not to be yelled at. Would not recommend if you are looking to learn proper driving. Spend your money somewhere else.

Colby is an excellent driving instructor. He cares about the students success and has been great with responding to questions or concerns.

Colby literally is hands down the BEST driving instructor. His classes are informative, his laid back personality and humor makes the kids feel comfortable with him in the car on drives. He’s flexible and understanding with kids who have a busy sports schedule. I had to reschedule my son’s class 4 times because of his basketball schedule and never once did he make me feel like I was a burden. Both of my kids went to Colby and this driving school and I’m so thankful they did!!

The driving instructor was polite and funny and actively made attempts to sooth my nerves before the test as well as during by speaking in a calm, even, tone of voice. He was very upfront about everything beforehand as well as about the test result submission afterward. He was friendly and good at his job, and the test consisted of several concepts that you run into frequently on the road. I felt like the test was a fair measure of whether or not someone can safely drive, even though I barely passed.

i just got done from being a student at a-1 driving school and i must say i just turned 16 and mr.rogers the teacher there has to be the best teacher a drivers ed teacher could possibly be..their hilarious...extremely well taught...know what their doing 100% their extremely flexible their nice to all their students they were super nice to me my drives were absolutely killer and super relaxed and well thorough....if you happen to stop by his classroom tell them brandon engle sent you :P

Had an amazing experience at this driving school. Mr Rogers went above and beyond to help me out, taught me a few new tricks during a practice drive, and taught me many safety rules that most people that i know don't know are safety laws! i'm a very safe driver thanks to him, learned so much.
Anyone that talks about getting their license i always point them to Mr Rogers in gig harbor.

Excellent Driving School for High School students. I have one son that went and is honestly a better driver then me! "A Driving School" will be seeing my other son too. They have great teachers with good attitudes. They have great class schedules and learn more in a shorter amount of time then the high schools driving class. The price is a little higher but totally worth it.

The driving instructors here in Gig Harbor are unprofessional. I had driving experience with two of the driving instructors at this school. Had an amazing experience at this driving school. Mr Rogers went above and beyond to help me out, taught me a few new tricks during a practice drive, and taught me many safety rules that most people that i know don't know are safety laws! i'm a very safe driver thanks to him, learned so much.

Excellent Driving School for High School students. I have one son that went and is honestly a better driver then me! "A Driving School" will be seeing my other son too. They have great teachers with good attitudes. They have great class schedules and learn more in a shorter amount of time then the high schools driving class.
