DO NOT GO HERE! I’m 16 years old and I went here to do my driver Ed classes. When I tell you this is the most unprofessional unorganized place I’m not over exaggerating she put me threw hell and back to even pass the class there’s so many things she did to make it harder, to try to milk more money from my parents to literally making fun of me on the drives and over all jus making me so nervous and scared to even drive with her she would eat constantly while I did my drives friends of mine have even told me she had them go threw the McDonalds drive there for her as a “drive” for the class on one of my drives I was messing up on my turns she looks at me after making it so hard on me to even focus on driving she says “your really bad at driving aren’t you” while laughing if I knew this lady was nice and understanding I would of taking it as a joke. But I could tell she was being very serious she tricked my mom into paying for my written to do there when she first payed for my class. She would mistake who I was every single day and the reason why is because she would flood so many people in just to get the money out of them, so she couldn’t even remember who was who she would give me papers that weren’t even mine she would call my mom and tell my mom I’m missing certain things in mistaking me for the wrong person my classes were only supposed to be about three weeks along, and she dragged it out for three entire months she kept telling me that I was missing things. I got things wrong. She even gave me a 200 question packet. I answered all of them right I even looked up questions to make sure I was right which she allowed me to do she still would say I was wrong. I’ve even had to prove to her on certain questions that I was right and she would “apologize” at one point I thought I I wasn’t gonna be able to get my license till I was 18 cause this lady was making it so hard on me. In the weirdest part is some other kids. She was super nice to understanding. And would give them patience but with me it’s like she didn’t even want to get to know who I was she couldn’t I remember she put me in the very very back of the class not like that mattered but it starts to add up and as she was still dragging it out, calling my mom telling her I still need to do certain things to even be able to do my written me and my mom got so fed up with her that we decided to DMV to see if I was in the system ready to take my written in my drivers test the person at the DMV told my mom that I was ready to go and I have been ready to take my written for over a month now that lady was lying to me and my mom just a stretch it out just to get more money out of me so I can keep paying to do certain test I kept trying to give the lady the benefit of the doubt, but once I realized I genuinely think this lady should not be in business, nor should she be a drivers teacher, oh and on top of that I seen her use a drivers Ed car to go gamble at the casino,🤦🏻‍♀️ if you wanna save your kid a lot of stress please go to your dolc drivers school down the road it’s 100$ more BUT IT’S WORTH IT!!!! We've used Diane's for 2 of our children. She is a very nice lady and my kids have done well after finishing her class. She has a cool head and dealt with my son, who had zero driving experience, wonderfully. She took him out for his first drive ever and they both survived, lol!! I sure couldn't handle it!! It's definitely a run down building but not everyone is in a financial situation to maintain such an old building. I think most people who are newer to Shelton don't realize that the building used to be the old pool and fixing it up has got to be an uphill battle. Not to mention, Expensive!! Read Less

Diane makes you feel comfortable when you go for your drive test. Which is awesome if your like me and was nervous. Their student car is nice and easy to drive. I definitely recommend this place if your in the Shelton area! Read Less

I shared a classroom with the only other driving instructor, Mr. Apple, in Shelton. From what I have observed, I'm confident that any bad reviews made toward Diane are strictly from Mr. Apple's propaganda and unprofessional instruction. He tells his students lies and puts himself on a pedestal, gloating how great he is and how he's better than Diane, wasting people's time. Diane is an insightful, caring and educational person who works very well with driver ed students and even those with anxiety. Looks like a junk yard! All that's missing is the big dog. Shelton we are better than this! Students have a barn for a classroom (the whole place looks like it is falling down) with no fans or air-conditioning. Not sure if there is heat in the winter. The extra $100 you will pay for the others is worth it believe me! Read Less

Honestly I wouldn't even give her a 1 star. This place looks absolutely unprofessional it looks like a run down dump and Diane came out late for the test dressed in some sweat pants and clothing that looked like she had been sleeping on a couch for a week. Not only did she put no effort into looking professional she also didn't act professional. The whole time I was taking my driver's test she was eating a hamburger. This lady put absolutely no effort into her profession. I highly don't recommend going here. Read Less

I wish I had believed the online reviews found on the DMV site, before using this location for a driving test as they are not done at the DMV in town any more. It seems there are complaints online from parents about the dishonest habits of testing by Diane. These reviews said she passes any of her students no matter how bad they drive and then fails students that do not take their class from her. I wanted to believe it was only a few upset parents, because there is no other option in our city. But after going to use her services for the driving test only, she confirmed her dishonesty. -This is our story- After finding out that all the students (that we know), that attended her class in the past year all got into some kind of fender bender or totalled their cars, we used the HS class for our teen. Then after passing the driving class at the HS with the top score in class, we required more then double the required driving hours, and spending time on a professional driving course with an instructor before doing the final test at Diane's. Written test 100% Driving test 90% Diane's final score for overall test : Failed She informed our HS student that it was too bad they didn't take her class because they would have passed the test if they had. I have to believe she is doing this for $ because her house/classroom is so run-down she does come off as someone that really needs money badly. Read Less
