This company and the quality people that make it run is why I hold my CDL A! Lyssa is the director of operations and always so helpful generous with her experience and time. Dylan is quite an instructor, really knows how to teach! He is also quite entertaining. His hands on approach got me through the confusion of backing skills. Quality instruction! Well run school!

I recommend Check Ride 100%, they have an excellent staff, starting with the instructor in classroom Dylan (Pre-Tip knowledge, backing maneuvers) and driving instructors Nicco, Slate, Lissa.

I recommend Check Ride 100%, they have an excellent staff, starting with the instructor in classroom Dylan (Pre-Tip knowledge, backing maneuvers) and driving instructors Nicco, Slate, Lissa.
Great people and plenty of opportunities to learn from them, if you're willing to put the time that's needed it to be successful.
All the staff at Check Ride will teach you to Pass the Pre-trip Inspection, all the backing maneuvers tests and driving test.
But it is your responsibility and you are accountable to learn and pass the CDL Test.
I passed the CDL test in the first attempt. 3/22/23.

I don't recommend going here if your goal is a Class B license. You're very much treated like a second-class citizen, the teachers will drop you off at the bus and say have fun for you to practice you...
I don't recommend going here if your goal is a Class B license. You're very much treated like a second-class citizen, the teachers will drop you off at the bus and say have fun for you to practice your checklist alone while they go help the students with the class A practice.
In order for you to do your backup training or any of that you have to wait until the field is clear of the Class A students. And you will be required to sit through stuff that's not relevant for your class B with the class A students. If you should have any trouble with your CDL test you just end up getting told that they can't have you taken the test forever and they say goodbye have fun not worth the money in the slightest. I was able to instead go get training from my eventual employer King County Metro directly and was able to get my CDL on the first try with flying colors.
I have noticed that whoever manages their Google account likes to try to flag any negative review as fake so just to prove I've been there here is the training book

Tammie really set the bar for customer service, letting me know exactly what I needed to do, where I needed to go, and when it all needed to be done by, in order to be able to attend the school. This exactness is a rare thing these days, and it really made the paperwork side go smoothly. Plus she's fun to talk to!
The instructors were great to work with as well! All of the instructors are very knowledgeable, covering an array of experiences within the trucking industry. There is a lot to learn in the 160hr course and they don't sugarcoat this one bit, I can respect the honesty there. If you're putting in the effort they're more than willing to be your guide, and to give you the knowledge needed to pass the DOL test in 1 shot (which I did).
It was also great that the school supported having recruiters come in during class time so students have a choice in opportunities within the industry. Being able to learn what's available and asking the recruiters directly was an invaluable experience, on top of the already invaluable education. I'm sure there are cheaper schools, but the value here was worth every dollar I paid into the course. Thank you for the experience, and I look forward to starting my new career!

I just completed the course at this school, and what a great experience!! The instructors are knowledgeable, professional, and really committed to helping each student succeed in obtaining their C.D.L. As a lady trying to obtain a C.D.L for class A, I was a bit anxious how it would pan out. Not once did I feel patronized, or pacified. The school from top to bottom was never less than professional, and helpful . They really go WAY above and beyond to help EACH student succeed! I cant say enough good about my experience, and encouragement if you are looking to obtain any class of C.D.L, this school is the TOP of Class!!

This exactness is a rare thing these days, and it really made the paperwork side go smoothly. Plus she's fun to talk to!

As a lady trying to obtain a C.D.L for class A, I was a bit anxious how it would pan out. Not once did I feel patronized, or pacified.
