Reviewing for the crane side not the heavy side. When wondering which course to do (month 1 or 2) I highly recommend going for month 2. Month 1 will “certify” you on each mobile crane. The first week is definitely the hardest and you’ll feel like giving up. But all of that information is it. Week 2, 3 & 4 are just review. So getting past 1 is the hardest. I believe month 2 is more beneficial to you if you don’t know anything. If you’re already an oiler and don’t want tower crane- stick with just month 1. Month 2 teaches you all about how cranes work in the real world and you practice rigging things up and performing those lifts. I was hating month 1 b/c it was boring and I didn’t feel that I needed 4 weeks to pass. But month 2 made it worth it. Also everyone performs differently so you might need all 4 weeks. I quote “certify” b/c it’s not free chicken. Everything is entirely based on you. The instructors are good people, but we definitely gave them a hard time lol. Anyway- take the 2 month frame course and try your best if you’re considering. It was a good time. Edit: 2 years later I can confidently say this school prepares you the best it can. It took me 6 months to get a crane gig. What state you’re in is very important on right to work states. CDL is absolutely needed (not really) it helps a ton. I operated a tower for 13 months. Have ran an RT an Carrydeck too. I often come back reviewing the material the school gave me to know what’s best. The Manuel truly is your friend. Great school. I love this training program! Probably the best decision I've ever made in my 37 years life lol. The instructors are cool and the curriculum is pretty amazing as well! Def worth checking out if you're thinking of getting a career in heavy machinery or crane operations. Read Less
