I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, unless maybe you already know how to drive a truck. I was supposed to learn how to drive a manual, instead I ended up having to get an automatic restriction because the instructor was too lazy to teach me anything. I reached out for extra classes with the not lazy instructor, was told it would happen and it didn’t. They’re also full of crap when they say they do job placement, it took me forever to find a job because hardly anyone hires recent cdl graduates, and I did it without any help from the school. In the middle of me trying to test out and finish the program the director just quits and they put in a new one, but then she was also gone right away so maybe it’ll get better but honestly it was all super unprofessional the way I was treated, especially since I spent over 5 grand Read Less

Currently in the class 2025!
They have a NEW regional director who is a retired Police officer and a new director that is a retired port authority officer. I have learned more about trucks from the enforcement side and what they are looking for during inspections and what occurs during accidents than I thought possible. Also how to interpret the legal language like “must” vs “shall”. After taking the beginning of both schools, I can say that I am relieved to transfer from lccc to Sage.
Sage also assisted me with my VR and E veteran program during the shutdown which sponsored me for a cdl program. Lccc failed extensively with this. Lccc was -its approved cdl course then it’s not chp 31 approved to its approved and shutdown so file fasfa. I mean I was given such a stressful situation and it’s was just a sorry it’s our error with no much way of fixing it. I am so relieved to have found Sage at such a time of good change.
I am a disabled veteran and there are others in my class who are in a probation situation or the single dad or mom with kids in the lobby and we are all treated equally of value. They can be strict on hours and attendance policy but it’s worth it. They do their best to work with you on hours.
They have many new companies coming in to recruit so their reputation is changing as the recruiting people come in of their own volition as I have heard in their lobby.
If you fail your cdl they do what they can to figure out retesting.
I have been apart of lccc side of the CDL and Sage has more curriculum than lccc.
They also have a new range for driving as of this week.
It is majorly different to do online training at lccc compared to going through it with instructors daily who rotate so you get the state patrol and police and seasoned trucker point of views.
Give the school a chance. It’s worth the investment.
They also offer payment plans and some don’t even have an interest rate.
I also found the schedule much easier to work with time wise vs lccc. And you get one on one driving instruction unlike many places you can get stuck with sitting in the cab area with other students. Read Less

I want to start this by saying the staff at this sage are wonderful so this review is not about them.
My husband is a student at sage currently. He has had nothing but a horrible experience. They are understaffed and cannot keep a director to save them. This school advertises a two week course but that is the BIGGEST lie! I was going to wait to make this review until my husband was completely done with the school but it has been 3 months now and no end in site. They push the drives out so far that they terminated my husband in the system and had to re-enroll him. He went as long as three and a half weeks without a drive. If you plan on using this schooling to learn how to drive stick you can throw that out the door. The staff state that the scheduling is put together by corporate. Well corporate, I hope you read this and stop scheduling until you can get the current students taken care of. My husband is finally ready to test now but he can’t because the school can’t pay for it and was told they are getting denied check request by corporate to pay for the test as well as being denied a card so I guess we get to wait this out too.
A long story short, if you’re thinking about signing up read this first so you know exactly what you’re getting into because there’s no refunds or just save yourself the trouble and go to lccc where the program is ran by an actual school, not by a bunch of corporate guys sitting in an office playing school. Brenda the manager is a pain in the ass.
They will not work with you on scheduling with your job. I was working at night and if I asked to come in late she acted like the world would end even though the classroom time consisted of watching videos. A few times i had to leave 30 min early and she threatened pushing back my graduation date even though the 30 minutes was dead time as we had finished our 8 hours of video watching.
