Couldn’t recommend Paul from Ellis Driving School enough. Absolute legend of a bloke. He helped me get my HR licence and honestly I don’t think I would’ve passed first go without him. He showed me heaps of little tips and tricks with driving a big truck that I never would’ve known otherwise, especially the proper way to handle the truck on the road and during the test. He explains everything properly and makes you feel comfortable instead of stressing you out. Met him at his house before the lesson and he even offered me coffee and food, stopped during the day for a snack and just treated me really well the whole time. You can tell he genuinely cares about helping people pass and become better drivers, not just getting through the lesson. I recommend Paul and Ellis driving school without a doubt. It is a must if you are going for your commercial license in the Sydney area. I was nervous and anxious about learning the non-sychro gear box. Paul has a great teaching system that gave me the confidence to pass the test and become a confident driver in the same day. Did a one day course for HR constant mesh/road ranger. Was taught all the basics (changing gears at the right rpm while double clutching and rev matching double clutching down gearing). To make the most out of Paul you have to be consistent with your questions and ask where/what you're doing wrong, as he is silently observing most of the time. I'm satisfied with my one day course, i passed with flying colours. I wouldn't have if i didn't ask questions though. Overall I'd rate Ellis Driving School 4/5. Read Less
