I’ve never left a review before, however the recent reviews left really helped me realise what happened was not okay or normal. This was not a case of ‘tough love’. I was put in unsafe situations. I could elaborate on specifics however the main point is that I believe no learner should be treated with disrespect, rudeness and yelling. If you have had lessons with Laila recently (as a clear pattern is occurring in more recent reviews) I want you to know that she was acting unprofessionally, nobody should be hit while driving or yelled at as I and others have been. I would highly recommend for your own well-being and physical safety to seek a driving instructor else where. Clearly Laila has been amazing in her reviews from 4+ years ago however as of right now I felt it was the right thing to do for others to leave this review. To add some context, I experienced almost everything others have mentioned in more recent reviews (that I had not seen before my lesson), I am a young learner I am a quiet and shy person. I held back tears during my lesson. I was not driving in a way that warranted any of her responses. One example is her yelling “down, down down” in an aggressive manner in reference to the indicator (I thought she meant drive down) she gave no further communication. It was quite shocking for me. Thank you for reading, good luck to everyone. :)

I decided to take my driving test in Toukley as I heard Toukley was a fairly easy place to pass the driving test.
I already had a lot of driving experience when I hired Laila to show me the course route. Laila showing me the course was invaluable and I probably wouldn't have passed in Toukley had I not done a few test runs with Laila. In particular, the turning lane is a bit challenging. Laila's price is very reasonable (the cheapest of all driving instructors I've used in Australia) and she doesn't encourage you to book anymore time than is necessary. Laila has a good car too - easy to drive.
My only suggestion for Laila is to clarify with the RMS when exactly head checks should be performed before a turn (10 metres before a turn or immediately before turning the wheel) as there seems to be some confusion amongst different driving instructors/examiners on this topic.

Laila is a fantastic instructor. She is thorough in her teaching but makes the lessons enjoyable at the same time. Laila prepares you for the driving test, shows you how to be aware on the road, and how to be an all round safe and confident driver. I highly recommend Laila, I passed my p's test first go thanks to her!

I decided to take my driving test in Toukley as I heard Toukley was a fairly easy place to pass the driving test.
I already had a lot of driving experience when I hired Laila to show me the course route. Laila showing me the course was invaluable and I probably wouldn't have passed in Toukley had I not done a few test runs with Laila. In particular, the turning lane is a bit challenging.
