I had an amazing experience learning with Tariq at Standard Driving School in Ajax. He is an excellent instructor who explains everything clearly and makes sure you understand not only how to pass the test but also how to drive safely in real-life situations.
I had previously taken lessons from another instructor, but I didn’t learn nearly as much. Tariq taught me practical driving techniques that are actually useful on the road and helped build my confidence behind the wheel.
Thanks to his guidance, I passed my G2 road test on my very first attempt! I highly recommend Tariq to anyone looking for a patient, knowledgeable, and professional driving instructor. Thank you for all your help!

Tariq is an absolutely amazing driving instructor. He helped me get my G licence, which was incredibly important for my future, and I honestly couldn’t have done it without him. He’s patient, funny, and has so much wisdom—not just about driving, but about life in general. He makes you feel confident behind the wheel and keeps lessons stress-free while still pushing you to be your best. I’m beyond grateful for his support and guidance. I highly recommend Tariq to anyone looking for a top-tier instructor.

I had put off taking my G2 for over a decade and had failed the road test two times before getting a few lessons in from here. Tariq was my instructor for only 3 days and it was more than enough to polish up my skills and reteach me things I had forgotten that helped me pass the road test. He's given visual examples as well if he saw I was struggling to understand something. He's honest and says it like it is and has a good sense of humor. Definitely would recommend to new drivers of any age.

Just passed my G1 exit test on the first try thanks to Sabir. He really guided me through all the driving skills i needed to let me grow into a highly skilled driver. He was very patient and helpful, never rushed me. Never once did I feel uncomfortable or unsure about a skill (parallel parking, backing in, etc.) before he moved to the next skill. Highly recommend this driving school and this driving instructor especially!

Tariq made the in class interactive and interesting. He definitely helped to build my confidence, and was always patient and encouraging. 3-point turns, and parallel parking were broken down and explained in clear concise steps, which made them easy to grasp. With the help of Standard Academy, I received my G2 on the the first try! Without a doubt I would recommend them as the first and best choice.

For a person with absolutely no idea about cars and driving, he really spent a lot of time and energy in teaching me to drive. The classroom session was really interesting and useful when it comes to learning the rules of the road. Tariq spent a lot of extra time with me giving me extra classes and finally I was able to take the test and get my licence! Thanks a lot and wish you the very best!

Tariq is the most understanding, knowledgeable, and patient instructor. He made sure I understood everything that we were doing, and answered every questions I've asked. He explained everything step by step and if not, give examples to better my understanding. In addition, he is a genuine person that cares for his students and wants to see them succeed. I never would've passed my road test if it wasn't for Tariq. I will definitely recommend him to family and friends.

Standard Academy of Driving is definitely the place to come to if you wish to pass your driving test at the first go. Mr. Sabir Ahmed was responsible for my on road driving sessions and he made me practice the exact things that I was tested on in the road test. Because of his guidance and training passing my road test was a piece of cake. Mr. Tariq was the in class trainer and he conducted the training sessions in a very informative manner and made the subject interesting and fun with his great sense of humour. The training school itself is a welcome site and is clean and spacious. Thank you Mr. Ahmed and Tariq to help me get my Driving Licence at the first go!!
