I'm an experienced driver who wanted to 'review' safe driving and defensive driving techniques. I learned just that from Kirt as we drove on all different types of roads and through various traffic patterns. Kirt is relaxed but effective and I was able to review many aspects of driving and add good habits to being on the road. It was a great experience and it's made me a better driver.

I’ve had lessons with two instructors, Sean and Kirt, and both were great to work with. They’re very patient, professional, and make you feel comfortable even if you’re nervous or still learning. Sean really helped me build confidence with the basics, explaining things clearly and never rushing me. Kirt pushed me to improve my awareness and decision-making while still keeping a calm, encouraging attitude.
Both instructors give helpful feedback and genuinely want you to become a safe, confident driver. I’d definitely recommend this school to anyone who wants instructors that teach with patience, clarity, and real care for their students

Ask for Ricardo Mascorro, or Ricky! I had three lessons with him and he was very patient and a positive, fun teacher! He's been teaching driving to a wide range of people for years and you can tell he loves it. He helped me feel relaxed behind the wheel and he taught so many things about driving and passing the test. Thanks to him, I passed first time at the El Cerrito DMV!

I cannot say enough about Local Driving School. The customer service was SUPERB. They worked to accommodate my son's schedule and training needs. When I explained that my son's permit was due to expire soon, Aliza KEPT US INFORMED of cancellations, which helped my son acquire the behind-the-wheel experience he needed in the required timeframe. My son was able to choose the type vehicle he felt comfortable in, which was super helpful, because he was able to use a vehicle similar to our family car. According to my son, the instructor was VERY EASY TO WORK with. But it get's better: Local Driving School worked with DMV (and my son) to schedule the behind-the-wheel test. Best of all: my son used LCD's vehicle to take the test. They even picked him up! How convenient that was for working mom. I cannot say enough about Local Driving School. I give local driving school FIVE STARS for great service, great training and for providing a great driving education experience for my son. THANK YOU LDS. I'd recommend you highly.

My first son took driving lessons from Local Driving School in 2011 and the service was excellent. Always on time, friendly instructors and the manager Manny is so easy to work with. Now my second son is taking his lessons and again, no complaints. A top notch A+ driving school. I won't go anywhere else and they have the best rates. Everything is included whereas other schools charge a car rental fee. The best of the best!
