I had a very disappointing experience with Christo Driving School. As a parent of three, I have worked with other driving schools before—particularly in Newton—and had consistently positive experiences. Unfortunately, this was not the case here.
After moving to Acton, my youngest enrolled in this school, and her very first on-road lesson was extremely distressing, despite being well-prepared beforehand. The experience fell far below our expectations in terms of professionalism and reliability.
Based on our experience, I would not recommend this driving school to other families.

As a former student of Christos Driving School over 35 years ago, I enrolled my son expecting the same level of professionalism and reliability. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short.
The first driving lesson was canceled at the last minute due to a reported emergency—understandable, but no contingency plan or earlier notice was provided. We rearranged our work schedules twice to accommodate, only to be met with radio silence at the second lesson: my husband and son waited over 30 minutes, and no one from Christos contacted us. There was no text, no call—nothing.
Even after I corrected my son's email address twice, it was still wrong in their system, leading to more confusion. When I raised these concerns professionally, I received a defensive and antagonistic response from their business manager, along with a partial refund ($245 from a $300 payment) and a refusal to take responsibility. Instead of resolving the issue, they dismissed us and suggested we find another school.
What should be a milestone filled with learning and support became stressful and chaotic. We've since moved on to a program that values families and communicates clearly. Sadly, I cannot recommend Christos to anyone seeking a respectful, reliable driving school.

If you want the BEST driving school - this is it. In business for 68 years and 3 generations. The owners of this school actually helped MA write the drivers ed curriculum and laws. It may seem that Christos is more expensive, but they are about the same as the other schools around. (The other schools don't tell you all the fees up front - Christos does). My daughter also loved the class instructor (Billy). A pleasant surprise for both of us.

I had a very good experience with Christo driving school! It is a much better driver's ed program than the one I used to go to, and I learned a lot. The instructors are nice and thourouh when it comes to teaching the maneuvers that will be on the test. I feel much more prepared than I did before.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. This is the worst service and business out there. This is a scam, and your child will not learn how to drive. Those hours on the road? USELESS. The Hamilton out of your pocket? STOLEN. The instructors do not know what they are doing, most of the lesson is spent picking up and dropping off other kids. It's basically an uber service. The examiners from Worcester are out to fail perfectly competent drivers, and they are rude. This family business does not respond to emails and they constantly move lessons around. Our experience with Christos has been terrible and if there was a negative-star this place would deserve it. Please be reminded of this when considering sending your child to Christo Driving School.

Instructors were great to average but the office dropped the ball by never offering one clear price sheet for the customer. Most documents given to the customer are confusing and unclear. It seemed as if there was always an additional fee that was not disclosed from the start. Also, zero accommodations are made for people who cannot take the Christo sponsored driving test on Saturday due to religious convictions.

The worst customer service I have ever encountered. The ladies from the main office are rude and consistently unhelpful. 100 times more expensive than comm ed and 1000 times worse. The classes and drivings were just as average, but scheduling was the most pain-staking process I have ever gone through. They do not have enough staff to accommodate their large mass of customers which is funny because they definitely charge enough to add on some more driving instructors. Like hell I'm paying them an extra $125 to administer an exam that the majority of their students fail. Overall, an annoying experience.

These people need some serious work on customer service. There were a couple of very legitimate concerns I had about some of my son's experiences. I called to let them know, they were rude and accused us of distorting the truth. Throughout the lessons process we had other issues with their customer service. Some of there instructors are great, but some unprofessional. The school seems to find ways to "squeeze" more money out of the parents. For the road test, instead of spending even more money unnecessarily, I suggest just going through the RMV directly. At the end of the day you want your child to learn how to drive safely and learn the rules of the road - Christo's can be good with that. I just wish that considering how much they charge, that they would work on their customer service, and not make that part of the process so unpleasant.

Can't speak to the in-class driver's ed. program but the driving lessons were solid. Driving instructors are solid, know their stuff and how to handle nervous beginners. Helpful mnemonics to remember maneuvers, and are thorough in their teaching. They gave me a little chart with the maneuvers that would be tested on the road test and gave ratings (I- introduced, n- needs improvement, s- satisfactory) to show what was covered and what I needed to work on. Not the cheapest option, but you get what you pay for, and I'd say the extra money is worth it. Plus, they use really nice cars, easy to handle, with no ugly hardware on the roof to scream to the word that you're a student driver (though their business name and number is painted on the sides).

Very good drivers' ed and driving school. Its very popular with the locals as the classes can get full pretty fast. Not cheap but they get the job done right.

I had a very disappointing experience with Christo Driving School. As a parent of three, I have worked with other driving schools before—particularly in Newton—and had consistently positive experiences. Unfortunately, this was not the case here.
After moving to Acton, my youngest enrolled in this school, and her very first on-road lesson was extremely distressing, despite being well-prepared beforehand. The experience fell far below our expectations in terms of professionalism and reliability.
Based on our experience, I would not recommend this driving school to other families.

It may seem that Christos is more expensive, but they are about the same as the other schools around. (The other schools don't tell you all the fees up front - Christos does). The worst customer service I have ever encountered. The ladies from the main office are rude and consistently unhelpful. 100 times more expensive than comm ed and 1000 times worse. These people need some serious work on customer service. There were a couple of very legitimate concerns I had about some of my son's experiences. I called to let them know, they were rude and accused us of distorting the truth. Throughout the lessons process we had other issues with their customer service. Some of there instructors are great, but some unprofessional. The school seems to find ways to "squeeze" more money out of the parents.
