As someone who had YEARS of driving anxiety, I never thought the day would come where I would gain confidence in driving and pass my road test on the first try . Island Driving School's friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff are a huge part of my success. The administrators here are very understanding and calming to speak to. I never felt discouraged from asking questions or felt rushed off the phone (an experience I've had with other schools). I appreciate so much of their help and accommodating my needs to help me succeed. Additionally, my instructors Shannon and Lenny were the best. Shannon was incredibly informative on preparing for my road test and helped me feel calmer behind the wheel after years of not driving. The day of the road test, Lenny gave great insights and step-by-step process of how the road test would be conducted. This helped a lot to ease my nerves the day of. I had a wonderful experience with Island Driving School! I definitely could not have passed my road test on my first try without them. I appreciated how accommodating and understanding they were in scheduling my classes and test so much. Anthony V. is an excellent instructor! Horrible school. Save yourself the money and dont go here. My husband went here because some recommended them and we only had problems with them. He bought and paid for 5 driving lessons and all they did was kept canceling on his lessons and then they said he was scheduled for a specific date for the driving exam he told them he cant go then because he only have done 2 out of the 5 driving lessons. They rescheduled the driving exam and scheduled all his other 3 lessons before the new exam date, but they kept canceling again on his lessons. The day of the exam came and he only did 4 out of 5 driving lessons that he paid for. When he asked for that one other lessons the lady told him “Well you have it if you fail” very professional. I did not pay for 5 lessons and not take them. When he asked for the money back they said they dont do refunds. Well i wouldnt want my money back if i would have gotten what I PAID for!!!!! Finally, got the license yesterday. My instructor was Lenny is a nice person and a very knowledgeable teacher, most important thing is he knows how to teach; all five stars go for him. The school management is little confusing, couldn't understand them at all. Read Less

Did my 5-hour course here and bought a 5 class package afterwards....I was super satisfied with both! The office was real accommodating in scheduling lessons around my availability and the instructors were very helpful during my lessons though I must say that Sal was my favorite of the bunch and great to work with on the day of my test (which I passed!). I took the 5 hour class with Bob and he was comical, entertaining and extremely knowledgeable! He gave more info than he even had to but in a fun way... the time actually flew by! He also gives what other driving schools don't! When you attend you'll see what I mean. It's worth every penny. You won't go wrong with this driving school, best on the island! Read Less

Just passed my driving lesson today. Lenny was my instructor and he was phenomonal. He has an 80% passing rate with students. The 5 hour course with Rob was extremely informative. Great staff. If you want to pass your road test, go to this school! Read Less

I took the 5hr pre licensing class and took 5 lessons with this driving school and then i passed my road test. The driving instructors are very helpful and they are patient with new drivers.
